Took deliver of a new car

But it has daylight running lights that come on as soon as you start the car ...

Which is a bit of a problem for sitting in your local dogging spot with the engine on to put a bit of warmth back in the car lol.

Think I may have to wear warmer clothing!!

Make some black out head lamp covers, if it takes off I'll only want a 30/70 split in your favour.

Check the manual, a few years ago I had a vw with xenon daytime running lights and you could turn them off with a series of movements involving turning the ignition off and moving indicator switch fully down and forward etc

I only did it to see if it worked then reset it as it's safer for driving

Dam these designers for not thinking of dogging !

Not ideal and you certainly don't want to become one of the idiots driving around with as many lights on as possible.........

Should be able to adjust settings to have them off as desired

why would you want to turn off the lights... all bikes have had lights that are on all the time for ages..

I Tend to turn my lights on anyway... habit of riding bikes.. prefer to be visible

Sorry, don't agree daytime running lights are safer...

The amount of cars you now see driving at night with no rear lights due to fucktards thinking they have there lights on...

If you need a car to be illuminated to see it, you shouldn't be driving...

Just turn the hazard lights on; that should take everyone's attention away from the running lights

If you turn your sidelights on they are dimmer than DRL's but it will also light up the rear lights. They are the law now unfortunately so I'm pretty sure there is no way of turning them off

No harm in having lights on whilst driving and in all honesty I tend to have mine on especially when the Sun is so low at this time of year.

It's not ideal when pulling into a dogging spot whereby those who have been there a while have adjusted to the low light levels only to be blinded by a dogger who can't turn his lights down........

The other side of course are the variable noise, constant speed brigade who just drove around on full beam in the hope of spoiling what fun is being had
