Rejection = Abuse!

We hate bad manners, but have now come to the point of blocking people without replying, if we receive mail from profiles not for us, hate to do this as we always sent a thanks but no thanks reply, and would expect the same ourselves as not everyone appeals to everyone else. The point being, we seem to be getting more and more abusive replays or persistent mail and don't want to point the finger at one group but it is mostly from single guys, we feel that this puts off couples from guys a bit. Any thoughts on this?

It's perfectly reasonable. I don't expect replies from people who aren't interested. If you feel a bit churlish and rude not sending even a 'thanks, but no thanks' then you could always block after sending that.

Also, you could mention that policy in your profile. The idiots on here who become abusive don't read profiles but at least you would spare the feelings of those that do.

I always say thanks for reading! at the end of my message because I so expect people to delete my message. a no thank you is always nice. you feel turned down buy hey.. what do you not get turned down in life for. this is the first time I've been on a site like properly. I've learned to respect and not get hurt by rejection. most messages you get are probably from newbies who are horned up( I was horned up too but then I actually liked this site and decided to stay ) sorry about that but let's stay positive . only way this site works is by being positive I think haha.

I think you need to develop a thick skin on this site. If someone is rude, block. I often delete messages without reading, as replying also opens a dialogue with the sender, like why not, it's not far on train, why can't I come to your?That's just as annoying as abuse if a polite no sorry has been sent. I don't worry anymore, I just delete then block if they keep messaging.

It's a very short learning curve. If anyone doesn't want contact from anyone just block. It saves time for you and then.

I rarely get abusive replies on here.

Some can be persistent but I just repeat myself until they get fed up

I regularly get abuse from people I won't allow into our venue due to too much booze or wrong attire..I'm not having some slag call me a cunt coz her mates ruined her night being arseholed...so I give it back and enjoy it

I think abuse is wrong. Get over it and move on. However,,,,,, there was a single lady and a couple id been speaking at length to recently. Chat going well, pics swapped etc. then to the meeting..... One false address for one then a hahaha when outside the other. There still here and I've not said anything more to them but behaviour such as this does ask for it .. ..

I always reply a thank you even when it's a no thanks

It is the polite thing to do

And if the person has taken the time to reply then is polite thing to reciprocate
