Verifications are not the be all and end all on here but if your actively looking to meet people surely they are more beneficial than not. With this is in mind can a profile that continuously advertises meets (on a daily basis) over a prolonged period of time be credible ?

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Look at it another way.

Maybe they need to advertise in order to find a suitable co-player, due to some specialised criteria?

Does it impact you greatly?

They might have verifications but chose to hide them and also hide their verification summary. I often do that.

it could be iffy.

The thing with that meet request thing, is that anybody could put one up (verified or not). Someone expresses an interest and they just turn around and say, sorry but i've just arranged to meet someone.

There is no-way of knowing whether that meet request was ever genuine or whether it was someone just looking to yank a few chains that day.

But fair play to you using the word 'hiatus' on your (verified) profile...

True, I guess people put up meet adverts to attract more attention , it could just be a 'cock teasing' ploy

I prefer to concentrate on my own profile and not worry about others. A detailed well written profile with good pictures does the trick.

Surly members have enough common sense to make an assessment without relying on verifications .

Fair comment, however I would feel more optimistic meeting a verified profile than one that's over 6 months old without . Why would someone not have verifications if they had a chance
