If people know what they like and know the type of person they want to meet and you are not the type of person, I don't see the harm in them saying you're not their type. Better that they're honest than string you along

absolutely not crude in anyway.mabye if they say something like no thanks your ugly as fuck then yes .but saying your not my type is the polite way of saying the think u are unattractive.just suck it up and move on as you wont be everyones cup of tea.this is why alot of females and couples dont bother replying because any sort of rejection jus dosent sit well with some guys.

I think it's bluntly phrased "no fatty" but I wouldn't be personally wounded, I'd take the hint and avoid.

People should be free to say what they like in their profile with site rules and legalities.

If I read a profile like that I wouldn't message them as (a) I'm fat (b) I'm over 40. So from their perspective, job done!

Mind you, if I was under 40 and gym fit I also wouldn't message them. Profiles can be used to exclude people on a two-way basis!

Surely we all have a type ? And also a type we don't find attractive? Not sure saying 'fatty' is too clever but it's fab.

I actually get annoyed when I see people apologise for saying they don't like certain types of people . No Asians, no black men, no white men, sorry just my preference ! Why apologise, PC gone mad, it's your right to not want to meet what you don't want and given the amount of message down ladies get your just making the process easier .

This is a swingers site, when someone says " I don't play with black, white or Asians" - doesn't mean they are racist - it's just they don't fancy them physically, so where is the racists element in that ? I have my preferences, it doesn't make me a racist. I respect and respond to everyone the same at work or at public places - but in bed - I get to choose who I want to play with and that's not me being a racist.

Everyone has preferences and some have red lines.

In this scenario, fatty and over 40 are red lines. They could be more sensitively expressed though.

I would only include red lines on my profile, not preferences. i don't want to exclude someone lovely by including a mere peference. I have enjoyed the company of all body types

How someone speaks about others will determine whether I want to spend any time with them. That is more important to me than if they are fat or over 40.

Everyone has different tastes, mine is for respectful people who don't think they are better than others, because they are youngster, slimmer or think they are better class.

Saying no fatties is tactless and distasteful. Saying no over 40's is their way of saying I don't want to be having sex with old people. Both are preferences.

I can look at someone's profile and know whether they are my type or not. If they weren't and they had messaged me (obvs) I would say so without going into the reasons why. 'Sorry, but you're not my type' is a bit kinder than 'Sorry, you're not my type because.......' if you ask me.

I would avoid profiles where I thought I wasn't someone's type and think nothing more of it

i can understand people getting pissed off and taking it out on those they perceive to be responsible for that, so when someone starts slagging off others i just think they can't find what they want on here and are taking it out on someone who doesn't deserve that.

bit stupid of them really but it shows their childish attitude. not surprised it puts people off meeting them, the ones they were looking for.

I agree. Whether its about height, penis size, race, sexuality...anything really. I honestly dont know what is necessary in doing it and it seems to be more and more of a thing to be intentionally incendiary.

Its the same thing I noticed whenever I went to (vanilla) clubs. Its all well and good to reject people based on them not meeting your physical or behavioural requirements. But going out of you way to advertise these prefences was always inddicative of the more weak, insecure and (rather ironically) less attractive women/men.

I get a few messages on here, obviously alot more than the average for most men on here. Plenty of those people dont meet my own preferences. A simple ignore or curteous rebuff will do plenty. I fail to see why people feel the need to explain what it is they dont like about people, ESPECIALLY when its comes to physical appearances that many people cant change.

I disagree. Have spent enough time studying human interaction in my line of work. People hide behind statements like "preference" or "humor" when, in truth, they're just coward who cant stand behind their statements.

Thats not to say people should not be allowed to do it. I cant stand the fact that PC culture means that people cant say what they like. Hell, more power to them. But, as stated, I have met plenty of "NO WHITES, BBC'S ONLY!!" types. When you peeled past the veneer of "self expression" they were often riddled with old school racist ideas of black masculinity. They may not have been racist per se, but it was definitely interesting when these people often revealed that they came from very homogeneous backgrounds and communities where other ethnicities were not too common.
