Nosing in or ,nosing out

Sat in living room on my phone on here. And a bloke walks past and looks in . Are eyes catch each other for split second. Both look away. Whose in the right?

I'm 2metres away from windows he was on path out side small front walled garden walking past. It wasn't a what are you looking at look it was in all innocence kinda of a glance.

I'm guessing

a) he had some sort of superpower to accurately guess what you were doing?

or

b) he gave a passing glance towards the window but you, because you were on here, took it as a paranoid death stare

I see people look at my window occasionally...I even wave sometimes but they don't wave back because THEY CAN'T SEE ME
