Get around 10 requests a week t0 meet them...happy to meet them for a social first but they almost always go in the huff if it doesn't entail sex in their room. Anyone else had this?

Please can you move down South as I'd snap up your offer for a social.

I cover half the country and struggle to get a social in my hotel, I return to the same areas every few weeks so a socials good as I know I'll be back to build on that

I'm finding that women and couples won't meet as they think you're visiting for a one off

None of the people who ask to meet when they're on their travels get in a huff but they do go quiet when we suggest a social. It's fair enough

They're not playing the long game, what's one social when it might lead to ongoing fun

The chances are if they turn down the social they'll end up in the hotel bar alone any way

As soon as I see "in your area " I delete the mail. I make it clear on my profile that I don't meet people who are just here on business

True, but they might not want to waste time meeting people they're not going to see again for a while.

It's the ones who say they're coming down on holiday then suggest we provide b and b that make us smile

We occasionally meet business travellers, quite a nice discreet option as they're obviously not local and are generally in anonymous chain hotels . We usually meet fro a quick social in the bar and, if things click, progress there and then. But have to say the initial messages have to be good, "I'm in the area, want to fuck" doesn't often work!

Well I have to agree.. I have suggested to some travelling guys in the past to contact an escort agency and hire a hooker...

Doesn't always go down well I must say

Would you rather they chatted endlessly for a few weeks to get to know you, then met you for a social or one off? This is supposing you do meet for nsa.

Meeting people that move around the country is no different to meeting people locally really if it ends in a one off meet.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

As a business traveller myself, my view on socials is that they're interesting in their own right, and an entirely valid "investment" in next time.

It's difficult to be reassuring to "locals" though...

I agree with that. If you want one off meets it doesn't really matter if the people are local or not.

For us there's little point because we take time to move to playing and we wouldn't expect an infrequent visitor to the area to engage with that.

I've been known to do this. For me it's about whether I feel a connection with the person, not location.
