If you loose your hubby or wife as result of bereavement.will swinging ever be the same for you?

The reason for asking this question.there's a couple I know from different site. After the hubby death.she never recover fully well.my girlfriend try to cheer her up whenever we invite to swing club.

I knew a couple who ran parties and the husband died. She did try and continue but eventually gave up swinging. I guess if you have done the scene with a partner it wouldn't work without them again.

I lost my wife in 2011 we never swung, my new wife lost her husband around 2007 they never swung, 1st getting into life again full stop is hard as hell and then socialising is even harder, then to think about swinging will be so far down there list it will be in the Z bracket, I think the best advice would be to leave well enough alone and let them get back to life in general,,,, shower -feed-bills then see how much energy they have after that because take it from me they won't have much,

Nope....

Places hold memories , and people who have known you both,will ask how you're doing etc ... It's lovely that he's remembered by so many people ,and I'm pretty good at dealing with it these days , but it still feels like he should be there with me ..

Add to that that you've lost the person you trust to watch your back ..and it's quite hard to relax and just go with the moment

I simply can't imagine swinging if I was on my own due to bereavement, or with anyone else.

It's pretty much unbearable to think about.

In the next 5 years I will die. The end when it comes for me will be extremely messy and horrible.

I hope that she finds comfort however she can and in a way I hope she carries on enjoying herself. By that point she will deserve it.

By that time you'll be out of practice anyway... Being ill tends to get in the way...

I wonder if it depends on how you started. If you swung before meeting, maybe you would keep on, but if you entered swinging together, it may never be the same.

While we may have many swinging friends, I bet most of us have one trusted partner who we know will watch our backs.
