Was just wondering who else loses their motivation to hit the gym when they come out at 5pm and it is pitch black - never ever had this feeling before ......... Is my body telling me something?

I have much more motivation in the Winter! I think it's because I spend most of the Summer outdoors anyway. Plus, even though our gym is air conditioned, it's always too warm when it's hot outside!

I never have motivation to go to the gym. Exercise isn't my thing.

But I've been eating way more than usual so Marc has gotten me some dance exercise videos. I don't even have to leave the house. Could you work out at home, maybe?

I've been struggling this week. I don't know if it's the change of seasons or if I'm just due a recovery week.

I usually look forward to the gym, but I think a week of early nights and good sleep might be better.

I think I was just in a bit of a rut to be honest. Just forced myself to get in and train legs and feel like a million dollars now!

I hear you OP - I don't want to work out after work, I want to sit on the couch drinking wine and eating.

But I always drag my sorry arse out and feel great afterwards

I'm trying to get back into it after 18 months off due to work taking up all my time, went from 4 times a week to nothing.

I used to love training in winter though, far fewer people there so you could get through it in peace.

It's the same with the early starts. I find it easier to do a 6am gym session when it's light outside and not minus 3

Having a training program written down on paper usually helps. Even better if you design it towards hitting new personal targets.

This is because you've got defined targets to hit everyday, so can't really afford to miss one day.

Nope, was raining today and still went but I only go 3-4 times a week because I don't follow a diet right now.

Don't suppose it's Anytime Fitness is it? Because that sure would help me find that motivation I misplaced somewhere.

Train in the morning?

It'll still be dark but your body won't be telling you it's time for food, shower and bed

Due to work commitments, I have hardly done a thing this year and the dark night's don't help either as I train outside

I never feel like training at the end of busy working day and have to force myself to go to the gym.
