But I've just been called a 'timewaster' because I had no intention of meeting someone, was just being polite and replying to their message.

What is it with *some* men who think that because you engage on a conversation anything less makes you a timewaster

Him "Hi how are you?" (Subject is "Hi" too)

Me "ok thanks"

Him "Do you fancy meeting me?"

Me "what? You have no photos and no profile text? We have not chatted and all you have done is ask how i am?? Are you serious???"

Him "Timewaster!!!"

Delete and blocked.

We sent a polite ' no thanks your not for us' message to a " friendly, retired gent"..... who replied with.....

" I hope you enjoy your terraced house and Ford Focus"

Then blocked us.

I honestly feel for the genuinely nice guys on here.

I've just this minute had a message from a man who lives about 250 miles away asking me where my manners were as I didn't reply to him.

They really are some sad pathetic characters on here.

It's really time consuming responding to the 100s of emails us females get (especially when we first joined the site). I was being polite and responding thanks but no thanks but then it can leads to loads of emails from one person who can't take a simple 'no'.

There's a lesson here. Men messaging only leads to disappointment and women getting pissed off. So I'll just sit on the forums and let the women do the hunting, I'm sure that has to work better.
