If I decide I'd like to meet them I send a face pic. I show my face on cam though, so a few people already know what I look like...

There are no rules, you should be able to gauge from the conversation, or the profile for an initial message, when one is warranted. However delay too long into a message exchange it becomes rather awkward if you don't find the other attractive.

Exactly this. I can completely understand the filtering process for many women due to the imbalance ratio but when you see some that have no pictures on show whatsoever yet are stating a face pic to start chatting, how can the sender decide if they are attracted to them enough in the first place

I usually send one when I feel comfortable doing so and think I may eventually be interested in meeting someone. I've sent one in a first message before now because I had a hunch about someone. I don't insist on seeing one first.

Mine are public too, so I expect one to be sent with a first message, otherwise I just delete their message.

If we are sending an initial message then we include our face pics. If we are responding to someone else's message then we only send our face pics when we want to and not before the initial messenger sends theirs.

Due to my circumstance, I don't send them out until I know if we get on well personality wise. I always ask for their first too as discretion is paramount to me.

Because a face pic is a potential deal breaker, mine is front and centre, on my profile.

If someone is too lazy to bother looking, then we wont be meeting anyway.

I'm also less likely to message someone who demands a face pic with first message - especially if they dont have one themselves.

I ask for a clear, recent face and torso pic in my profile text (which everyone reads of course )

If I like the look and sound of them I'll send a return face pic back to them!

On the rare occasions I go 'hunting' for myself I always enclose a recent face pic in my opening message! Fair's fair!
