Do we think winks are a waste if time ? I've been here a while now on and off over the years and have had at least some success from a simple wink before I message

Anyone else have an opinion?

I tend to ignore them but I know some see it as a sign that they're interested

I think they have they're uses. I like receiving them, it shows me someone has viewed my profile and liked what they saw, sometimes messages follow sometimes they don't but either way I take them as a compliment.

I also use them if there is a new member nearby that I like the look of but I don't want to look like I'm pouncing on them straight away.

You know when you look at local updates and see someone hot joined 20 minutes ago? I'll send them a wink and back off rather then go straight in with the obligatory dick pic fancy a fuck message before they've even finished setting up their profile

We used to look at them but to be honest, the longer we're on the site the less we care about them. I am well aware that some really hot people have winked us but I can't summon the energy to get involved in the whole 'wink back, who messages, what about face pics' bs. So they go mostly ignored now.

We're finding winks have become like a Facebook 'Like' a post is written but you don't want to fully engage in a conversation.

Yeh I dont mind receiving them but I dont think its worth winking at a woman they've got enough on their plate a wink isnt enough to get their attention usually

These days I don't pay much attention. However, back in the dim and distant past (a long time ago in a galaxy far far away) I got a wink from someone completely out of my league gorgeous and after a glass or two of bravery juice one evening I plucked up the courage to wink back. The rest is history.
