... i'm a very amateur photographer having just bought a camera, looking for models - i.e help me learning my trade, or professional advice...

Have a look round at some photography forums too....there are some great ones around (for example Talk Photography) where the other members offer a lot of good advice and help plus post exampes of their work; can be a great place to learn

Sonys are good cameras generally, as for models,well you can try several ways,internet as posted or approaching girls in the street, or try friends, professional models are likely to cost you quite a lot of money, however they can suggest poses/ideas which you may not have thought of.

Just had a look at Purestorm, very nice Portfolio by the way, might join it myself
