I'm thinking of going to vanilla alternative on a Friday by myself as I've heard good things couple of questions: should I stay in the hotel?

Is it a welcome atmosphere as I've only been to kestrels and found that to be welcoming but it's a different set up? thanks

I really like the hotel. It's usually booked really far in advance so you should call and see if rooms are available if you're considering it.

Also keep in mind that VA doesn't have private rooms, so if that's important to you then getting a room in the hotel might be a good option.

VA on a Friday can be fun, although in our honest opinion it can be hit and miss as to (a) how busy it is and (b) the quality of the single guys thst attend - sadly all too often the single guys in attendance tend to be of the "lurk and wank" variety rather than genuine guys that are respectful and approach for a chat in the social areas before play really gets going.

The hotel rooms however we can't recommend enough, they're clean, well furnished, reasonably priced and comfortable, plus they provide some private play opportunities if that's what you want (so long as your guest - if they're non-resident - leaves before the club closes).

The club itself couldn't be more welcoming and classy though with the staff all being friendly and willing to help newcomers feel at ease.

Noticing you're not bi OP, the only night to avoid wpuld be the first Friday of the month, which is Bi Night and is incredibly busy usually, but moght not be for you.....unless of course you're "Fab straight"

I've been on my own on a Friday before. Honest assessment is that the club is great, facilities and the people who run it couldn't be better.

However I wouldn't go again without a partner, however friendly people were I couldn't help feeling that as a single guy I was a bit of a loose end. I'm not the most forward admittedly but I struggled to really get any conversations going. You might fare differently and I might have had a different experience on a different night, don't let me put you off though as it's still the best club I've been to.

I'd really love to go here too, but wouldn't want to go alone. Shame it's about a couple of hundred miles away from me but there's always the train
