Curious as to what different people define as swinging? Was it originally a couples party and "car keys in a bowl" take your pic, or some people it's dating and others it's one night stands or bdsm

I was naively going for a drink with a girl and going back to mine afterwards but was "tricked" into it after she said "I know a nice little pub" (townhouse). Greedy girls night and I got alot more than I bargained for.

When single I'd like a regular fb or occasionally go to a club

To me swinging is just somebody who is sexually open

You don't have to use a swinging site or swinging clubs to be a swingers you can find sex anywhere your achieving the same goal

For us. It's something we enjoy together. And swapping/swinging with other like minded couples. Wether they be a married couple, partners, fwb or fb's. As long as they play as a couple.

The urban dictionary describes swinging as 'a lifestyle of non-monogany where sexual relations occur outside the established couple'. I think that's a very good definition, however it doesn't take into account single people in the swinging lifestyle, and I know a number of singles who regard themselves as swingers and contribute to the swinging lifestyle. So perhaps I would describe swinging as sex involving more that 2 people, e.g. threesomes, foursomes, partner swaps, orgies, cuckolding/hotwifing etc.

For me it's really going to clubs to partake in casual sex. Occasionally I might do it at home - but then it's just casual sex. Swinging is when it happens in a swinging club.

Love it! I used to think at regular parties, or get-togethers with friends, how cool it would be if we could all end up having sex. Then I joined the swing scene and found I could do just that. Love going to a party, having a drink, chat and a play with friends

I consider myself to be a swinger, although ideally I'd like a partner to share that with, I'm happy to go along to clubs just for the atmosphere rather than play, but will play if invited, so for me swinging is being amongst like minded adults. Play is not always necessary.

Thinking back to past relationships I wouldn't have been able to do the couple swap or couple join in.. selfishly I'd always do "mff" should the opportunity in a relationship pop up, but wouldn't due to the hypocrisy of not doing "mmf" I'm the relationship..

Typical teenage behaviour....? I know when I was in my (later) teens our parties often ended up with casual sex....different people at different times and as often as not more than two people in each room....!

The difference being it didn't tend to involve "couples" as swinging does.

Maybe swingers just haven't grown up....?

Yes, that's probably me. I always missed those student parties, the pulling, the dating. Missing all that tempted me into swinging and hotwifing. But doing this as an adult is so much more fun. And I don't remember having piles of naked bodies at student parties

I personally don't regard a single man meeting a single woman for sex as swinging. I used to do that when I was single, and I had never heard of swinging back then. However we have a number of single friends, both make and female, who regard themselves as swingers. This is because they meet couples for sex, and get involved with group sex at parties. But I think if they were to have a one-on-one meet, with nobody else involved, they would regard that as a date not swinging. Well one of our single friends definately thinks that because I asked him.

I'm single and class myself as a swinger because I enjoy clubs. I do meet 1 to 1, have had several really lovely FWB over the last year where we sometimes meet just us two together, and sometimes share others in a club. I personally wouldn't class people who only meet 1 to 1 as swingers, but each to their own.

But I've seen many single mens profiles just looking for woman, and many single woman's profiles just looking for men, both for 1-1s, that to me is not swinging, its simply meeting for casual sex. which is fine but doesn't (in my opinion) count as a swinging meet.
