Its a mood thing, and a guy who I may ignore one day might be just what I am looking for the next. But to stand a chance I must like the look of their face. I have made one exception regarding that rule and we haven't met yet, but I'll insist on a face pic before we do.

A guys first message usually tells you quite a bit about the person and if that sounds good then we look further. We do contact some guys ourselves though and that is purely on their picture and their profile. Some are brilliant, but if a profile tells us nothing even if his picture if great we won't make contact.

Surely its about them having a pic of their car, very fast bike, boat or plane!
