Just curious should/would you reply to a no thank you. Thanking them for taking the time to reply to your message or leave it as don't want to seem rude.

Personally I would say leave it. When we get through all the messages, it's like a phew done at last but then when you instantly get another 50 thanking you for your reply it's a bit of a eye roll moment

We've usually blocked those we say no thanks to so the reply will never come. Too many times we get mardy arse responses so it's easier to make sure that it never happens.

It's not polite though it's annoying, the messaging system on fab is crap all these thank yous knock the messages off the page from the people we do want to meet, so it's a total eye roll here we go again moment.

On another site where messages become a thread rather than new messages that would be fine but until fabs sort out the way messages work I would prefer people refrain from thanking us

Classic British curse.

1: receive a message which doesn't float one's boat.

2: send polite 'thank you, but no' message.

3: receives polite 'thank you for your thank you, but no message' message.

4: send polite 'thank you for the Thank you for the thank you but no message message' message.

5: repeat and expand.

I went through loads of mine the other day, many got the response of thanks but no thanks and a minority replied saying thanks for letting me know. I have no issue with anyone doing that, I know how many men don't even get a reply so appreciate they actually got one. I don't see it as rude and feel it's totally up to them, I won't see my arse because of it.

agree, we always reply with a "sorry but no thanks" most guys are decent enough to appreciate the reply and any that turn rude well we glad we said no to those lol

I did it all the time when I first joined and was amazed at some rather rude immature responses or it sparked off the Spanish inquisition as to why I wasn't interested or they'd message back weeks/months later trying to change my mind or thinking you were someone different so decided not to and just ignore. I kind of felt bad doing this so then decided to say no thanks followed by a block so there was no comeback. I now don't have this problem due to the way I run my profile but would still do the no thanks/block thing.

I always respond back with a polite message back which is this .

That's OK I hope you find what your looking for take care be safe and remember if you ever change your mind just say hi .

I do this for the simple reason I really am not upset over a polite no thanks .

I feel no shame no anger after being turn down nor do I hold a grudge over such a small thing as me not being what they are looking for .

Someone not fancying me is such a small thing in the grand scheme of life in my opinion so why act in any other way is my honest opinion on the subject OP.

I always appreciate a polite reply to my 'no thank you' message. I've even had some lovely conversations with some guys.

If I get asked why, I just say it is my personal choice.

If I get any hint of nastiness, I block straigh away.

I would say "thanks" to a "no thank you" response for the simple fact that I get so many nonresponses, it's just really nice that people have the courtesy to give you the time for a real response.

Either nothing..or just a thank you for replying. But don't add stuff like "have a good weekend" etc as that's a veiled way of getting another message as anyone polite would reply to that too..then the pointless polite ping pong starts!

We always say ....no probs have fun...unless they have messaged us without looking at our profile first. ..in that case we might just ignore

I really appreciate the me who reply saying thanks. I wish them well, they wish me well. We're not all going to be attracted to everyone. But we can treat each other nicely
