Body or brains....

Personally I have to be attracted to a persons mind. If a person has spelling mistakes or poor use of English on their profile, then I dismiss them straight away, regardless of how hot their body may be.

Just wondered what everyone else's thoughts are? Am I in the minority in wanting brains over beauty ?

Being able to spell perfectly doesn't show how clever or intelligent people are. Many very intelligent people were or are dyslexic. It also doesn't meant that they have an engaging mind or personality..... It just means they can spell.

The fantastic thing about fab is if you look hard enough you don't have to compromise. I've never chosen one over the other as I like the guys I meet to have it all.

However, if I need a Rosetta Stone to decipher a message I too would dismiss as it would be too much like hard work...it'd just be another filter.

There has to be some sort of "chemistry" over and above physical attraction, and that can take any number of forms although engaging your mind is probably one of them, but doesn't necessarily have to be about spelling/grammar. That said a poorly worded message etc is unlikely to grab our attention.

Yes I meant really bad spelling and text language, not the obvious misspelling. I also understand people are dyslexic, those are easier to spot than the people who just can't spell or can't be bothered to string a decent sentence together.

I never compromise either. Us ladies are worth far too much to have to compromise and "make do"

As above. I know some highly intelligent people, who simply can't spell, yet have a much larger vocabulary than those whose spelling if perfect.

The ability to spell, is simply the ability to mimic and repeat the same pattern over and over. Some minds are simply thinking to fast and racing ahead. Often resulting in bad spelling, or messy hand wrighting.

My son is very clever, but also high functioning autistic. His writing just like mine is messy as hell, likely due to the fact that while other kids are just copying what is said, he is busy wondering about the actual subject.

A friend has a rather high iq, writes perfectly, yet had virtually no imagination or common sense. Looks at a problem and only sees the answer, but has no ability to improvise. My son looks at same question, will likely give same end result, but give far more ways of how to get said result.

If you judge intelligence based on spelling, then you could be missing out on some very interesting people.

Wiggles does maintain the rule of "a person must of at least read a book, for her to sleep with them" after a rather lovely lad chatted her up at a pub. Poor bugger admitted that he had never read a book, out of choice, as he hated them and this completely turned her off.

Me I just work on the theory that, an imaginative mind is a beautiful mind and beats intelligence any day.

It's a combination. Would enjoy chatting to someone with a compatible mind but that doesn't mean they'd be attractive sexually. Likewise, someone could appear lovely looking but if they don't seem mentally compatible it'd be a no.

Dyslexia, long nails or random Siri 'corrections' notwithstanding the first message or profile view form the first impression and if either are riddled with spelling mistakes, text speak or really bad grammar then it's going to be an uphill struggle for them.

Both for me but I do agree with the mind being the really attractive feature I look for though.

If I connect and can converse the physical issues or hangups just disappear tbh.

As a slightly different viewpoint tbh in person its the chemistry I feel that can really turn me on or put me off someone.

I'd go for mind before body. My reasoning is that you need concent before playing with someone, so if they don't have the right might sex, there's no play no matter how hot they are.

Alternatively, I would not want to play with someone who I did not find physically attractive no matter how great their mind was.

......... I think I've just concluded there's a grey area for me! lol
