Adding people and then ignoring?

So, quite a few current 'friends' and deleted 'friends' choose to ignore any message you send to them.

I wondered if this is the norm?

I always try to add or accept people that ok genuinely interested in and, although fully aware it's part of the game, I always find it odd when 'friends' stick your message straight in the bin!

What's the point of adding someone if you don't want to be friends?!

I don't know - the people I'm friends with answer my messages. But then I only really friend people who I like and have met or would meet.

Do you friend random people, OP? Or are they people you've spoken to and plan on meeting?

I only add people I've actually met..

We don't need to chat all the time

I generally reply to friends messages but sometimes they do get sucked up into the bulk delete.

Maybe they've added loads of people as opposed to those they're interested in meeting...

I friend people I genuinely like the look of / sound of.... but never before we've spoken.

It may be that they just don't like the look of me! Ha... but I find being ignored more frustrating than being told I'm ugly!!

I think maybe that could be your problem. I wouldn't accept a friend invite from someone I'd never spoken to, and if I did then I wouldn't feel like I had to answer their mail - I would just check out their friend only pics
