Ok we've been having people wink or message so we've winked or messaged back. Then no more contact and your message deleted. Can anyone explain this. Our face pics are public we've said what we like on our profile so assuming they viewed our profile they know what we like and know what we look like. So they message ie hi how are you guys im/we are so and so we like your profile or what ever they send. We reply only not to hear of them again. We thought at first it was time wasters or fakes but some are profiles that have verifications.

I've been on both ends of this situation. Sometimes conversations just don't take off.

I think many people are not too methodical or focused on what they want to get out of a particular contact. Maybe they just had 5' to spare and thought you looked nice so stopped briefly to say hello, without having a particular agenda to arrange a meet or anything. Or maybe they were just checking to see your reactions, or even expected a particular reaction which they didn't get, I think that happens a lot.

Winks in particular are a bugbear of mine. I have had many times where someone winks at me, I message them in return and then meet with nothing, sometimes with the message deleted. Again, this has happened this evening.

I wish this was one feature that could be turned off.

We've been chatting to a couple over the last 2 days few message of the guy then a few of the fem or so they say. Saying they really want to meet our last message was asking when and where nothing back and all messages delete why bother sending a message in the first place lol. O they contacted us first

Some people can be most insistent on wanting a meet with me asap but I prefer to chat and plan ahead and I find it off putting when the 'get to know you' conversations descend into 'why?' Questions so in some cases, although good looking and initially attracted, their personality put me off so I blocked.

I think there's a great deal of that.

For me, it could also be the male half of a couple (and it's usually them) interested and the female may not be so interested. Just yesterday I had a wink from a couple that weren't even looking for women. I messaged them and the message was read and deleted quite quickly.

Again, winks are a feature I can easily live without. Some do like them and I accept that, so a feature to turn them off (like you can with fabs on photo's) would be useful.

I like to send a wink. But the follow it up with a message detailing a little about myself and what has drawn me to there profile. And of course what im looking for. Lol

We don't mind winks, but it does put the onus on the winked to respond. Tess and myself always have a look at our messages together and reply accordingly, likewise message others together. Just a lesson learnt from a few years on here when we've both messaged others that the others not interested in

We only send winks if the profile says send one if you like me. I agree with the guy thing, He looks through new public pics, goes to profile, just looks at rest of pics, sends message.

You respond, he then actually bothers to read profile to find his cock is three inches too short, you are only interested in sswing, 300 miles away, or a multitude of other reasons not to meet.

We get messages from couples almost every day & respond "So she plays on her own yeah?" & they disappear..

We get this quite a lot. Chatting to a lovely looking girl faf, so after a while go with a long message explaining about what we want, regular/club buddy,s/D maybe,Etc. ending with what do you want? And we can meet on xyz dates if you want? Ran to three paragraphs, full of humour, leading questions (what you need to keep it going). A lot of effort to compose. To get back "Sounds good, same".

So now despite the fact they are horny as fuck, localish and interested, i'm not sure we still are? Think I'd rather go to the dentist sometimes

My use of a wink, is to show interest, yet not to add another inbox message if someone isn't interested in me back.

If I get a message or a wink back, I've not wasted her / their time.
