What makes swinging?

Ok, I feel like I'm about to make a major arse of myself for asking but here goes....

I am fairly new to swinging and really enjoy going to a swing club. I have found joining fab has enabled me to keep in contact with the gorgeous people I've met at my local club and also make make new friends to play with at the club.

To me this feels like swinging; I've had loads of requests from random men wanting a spontaneous meet (usually day of). I don't class that as swinging, it feels more like men just looking for a random fuck. My understanding was that swinging was more social, and was one of the reasons I was drawn to it. Am I wrong in thinking like this?

Sometimes I feel this site is more about men looking for sex without any sort of social aspect - more like fuck and go.

We would agree with your take on it, but many singles do see it as a potential quick fuck.

You might find clubs and socials work better for you, or block everyone and search yourself. I think Fab can be a bit much for single ladies sometimes.

There really is no reliable definition.

"Swinging" is not a magical way to a panacea.

People look for sex for many reasons.

We do both.

Though it's usually couples rather than singles.

We find that play is so much better when you have got to know someone socially first,even if quite briefly.

This is the reason we mostly meet at clubs.

To be honest,

I think you swing only when you are a cpl, singles... wether you are men or women just play - that's my view, but the terminology in this case is at the eyes of the beholder. Each has their own views or reasons to be here.

I'm single. I play with couples, single fems and occassionally men.I attend clubs and socials and I'm well known on the NW scene and travel to clubs all over. I have been swinging on and off for over 20 years. So just because I don't have a male partner I am not a swinger? That is total bollocks!!Swinging is about attitude and being involved in the lifestyle. Yes there are people who use this as a sex/fuck and go site. Very easy to spot and easier to avoid.

I agree op! I wouldn't meet outside of a club now. I love the social side and the atmosphere in clubs. I actually find private meets boring. Each to their own though??

That's the way I think about it. It can be hard to out the genuine swingers from the fuck and goers on here

Completely agree OP. I've met men and women separately, but I like to meet people who understand and relish the social aspect too....the people who have turned into FWBs have all been those who enjoy sharing each other in clubs too.

I'd say swinging is a lot of different things and it depends on who you ask. I'd say swinging is all about respect and sharing - and so includes random sex and fuck and go meets.

What is not swinging is if the meeting does not include respect and sharing.

For me swinging is a lifestyle, the kind of people you meet, the parties you go to, the way your mind is wired up towards multiple partner sex is all key to the experience. This doesn't matter whether you are a couple or a single, it's a frame of mind

There are many that are just looking for NSA sex until the right person comes along that they can skip off into the monogamous sunset with, I wouldn't say they are swingers but still more than welcome to come and play in the meantime
