We're not a great fan of these. Reason being is what are the chances that there will be a 4-way attraction? What do other people think? (Not asking for advise, just generating a discussion)

We're new to this, agreed that there MUST be attraction for both of us, neither wants to 'take one for the team' or put the other in that position.

Yes, it reduces opportunities, just looking at profiles drastically narrows our 'hotlist', but excitement, anticipation, discovery has got to be better with someone you fancy...

...unless of course you close your eyes and have a fantastic imagination, but then, why swing?

That's why we play alone. Well my better half does I just end up looking at the forums and putting my 2 penth in. We did try to set up 4 some but found it really difficult to find the right couple. H plays with a couple we meet on her own as the fems did not like me but fancied H so I just leave them to meet up now and again.

We only do this with moderate success we accept the fact that we won't meet everyone who we chat with since we only play if there's attraction for all involved but when you do meet its great fun

it can be pretty tricky finding a 4sum where theres mutual attraction all round, only recently we met a couple where julie really fancied the lady but her hubby was a right pain the backside and put us off them

Prefer to play as a 4. But we make sure there is an attraction before anything happens.

Hubby always says that if he would not go out for a beer with the male half of a couple on their own then we wont meet. Everybody has to like everybody or it is just no fun... We find mmf 3 somes easier go arrange as hubby does not need to fancy the guys in question, the going for a beer rule still applies to single guys though....

We like meeting other couples but if one of us is not attracted to the other couple then that is the end of it. Yes it makes meeting other couples harder but so be it.

We have only met one couple and tend to do more mmf as it is so difficult to find a couple where we are attracted to both the male and female

We meet and play alone, mostly at clubs as we have different tastes in men, but women and TVs TS we have the same. We much prefer the feeling that we can each go and do our own thing in that situation anyway .... although we avoid clubs which imply he is using me as a meal ticket so he can play or those that demand the male and female of a couple play for an equal amount of time. We prefer those where we can go with the flow ...

We prefer to meet as a couple with couples & haven't come across problems yet, John tends to play alone more than I do but if its someone i like I'm happy to play solo too. We also enjoy 3-somes with our single lady friends...we just love swinging it seems lol.

Thank you everybody for your comments. Interesting to hear others experiences. We have couples ask to meet us in view of potential play, and we've always thought what the point of that, given the odds against a 4 way attraction. We've played with plenty of people in party situations but rarely as a direct swap. For us it's more enjoyable to choose our own partners from a group of like-minded people than feel obliged to play with a particular person because the other partners are playing.
