...than realising that someone you have known on the site for a while has started to just be polite to you rather than friendly and flirty?

No not really they may just not feel the same or its taken too long to ask to meet or been a long break between messages. Ask them in a polite way if anything has changed it may not have and they just don't feel in the flirty mood

Oh we've met. Known each other for a while.

I don't think there's actually a solution bit it feels very much like a break up.

Somewhat unexpected.

Must practise being shallow

I can imagine that somebody shitting on you would be slightly worse.

i go off guys all the time. especially if they're too busy chasing other women to fuck me or even talk to me. i'd say it's fairly common on here that people go from fuck buddies/friends to nothing.

The Garden of Eden in Beautiful North Wales

I can't say I agree, I've met some lovely people on here in my relatively short time. Some I haven't heard very much from since, others I'll get or send the occasional 'hi' and a minority that I chat too quite often. Then there's the 'Special One' that I chat with daily, sometimes it's flirty, sometimes just general gossip and chit chat and other days when we'll bid eachother good morning (nothing for 12 hours or so) and the next message will be goodnight! Some messages will be answered instantly, others will wait hours for a reply...

It doesn't mean anything other than the fact that the other person is either having an easy or busy day/night. If you want or expect instant replies and total exclusiveness, I think you maybe on the wrong kinda site.

We all have 'our' own lives, Fab is great fun... So enjoy what you have.

This

It's fairly obvious when someone is chasing other women. At this point I can't be bothered to talk further. Don't chase , just replace

I've gotten good at reading the signs and knowing when to back off. No point going all out when she's clearly not interested anymore! And yeah, it happens fairly often

Not necessarily... I don't flirt, i'm polite and friendly with the guys i meet & fuck. Just because they're not being flirty, doesn't mean fucking is off the cards.

Possibly I should have provided more context.

We have both been happy with each other perusing and meeting other people. Turned on by it in fact. We've always continued to chat and flirt and cam explicitly and openly sexually.

That has changed for whatever reason. I don't know. That's fine.

I was just commenting on the fact that it feels rather more traumatic than I expected

Maybe the relationship has just run its course and its time to move on

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

It's human nature,

You move on.

We have all had friends that slowly drop off the radar for no apparent reason, why should here be any different.

That is pretty harsh if it's someone you know!
