Being new to the site, I'm wondering what the protocols are! If you see a profile of someone with whom you may want to spend some time (!) should you wink first and then send a message, or message first? Any advice for a newbie would be appreciated!

Message if you want to, lots of people disregard winks. There is no protocol really, just be nice.

Depends what their profile states. I always wink as i say in my profile that if I wink then I like them..I then proceed to fabbing any pictures I think are fab..and then a message.
