Don't know if it's just me but I get put off messaging couples/females when I see them posting meet adverts saying things like "looking for another female or couple but failing that I suppose a guy will do"

They've essentially said they're looking for a male too but it seems to me like they couldn't be bothered with one.

Call me over sensitive if you want I don't really care just wondering if others are in the same boat

Why not?

They've some free time and have a preference for females who, compared with men, are relatively unavailable. But if no joy there would rather have man come over than a bath and an early night.

If you're interested, just say that you're happy to be the backup option! Who knows, you might meet someone fabulous as a result.

Got you there. I've noticed some and they basically spell out a male is the last resort. Their choice on who the go for but the we will meet a male if we really have to stance never appeals for me. Imagine a single male playing the oh I'll meet you if theres no other option card I reckon it would turn whoever off.

I've no idea as I don't look at couples.

But to hijack the thread a teeny bit - if a guy you know posts a meet is he expecting that you might send a message, or is he looking for someone new? Because he could have just messaged you if he wanted to see you?

I think that as there are far more men seeking meets, we have to accept that your not first choice for most couples and often not for a number of women, but I have had plenty of meets over recent years with both. Must admit though this year has been the quietest I have know.I think patience is a quality neeed for any men on here.

its their insensitivity to the words they are using.....i wouldnt meet them if they did put wording like that..yes its off putting and im female..but im also a single and i know what that feels like when you are treated like an accessory xx dont dwell on it sweet, pass them by or make notes or block xx

Don't think a single male trying that move would have much luck they would run a mile! Lol

Obviously everyone is free to meet whoever they want but if you want a male, look for a male and if you want a female, look for a female! I thought it was pretty simple stuff

That was another point I was going to make, I don't doubt for a minute that many single males will happily take the backup option but it's just not for me!

Its as much as a turn off for a single male as it would be a cpl or female. Yeah I'm personally here for fun but part of the pleasure is the urge to meet. That urge is killed with certain behaviours or treatment. It's no pleasure meeting a fem or cpl if you ain't got that grrrrrrr to meet

I completely agree, I'm also here for fun and I feel the urge to meet is better to be mutual. If not then I think the atmosphere and experience of the meet would suffer. Unlike a lot of single males on this site I'm not desperate enough to meet people to make the backup option appealing. I'm happy to hold out that bit longer for someone who would genuinely appreciate the experience

Only ever posted meets for females or couples as part of a couple... we would never just accept a guy because we couldn't get what we wanted...I wouldn't want to be someone ya just settled for because ya couldn't play with who ya really wanted so doing it to a guy would just be rude

Indeed. Part of the fun is the pleasure & experience you give/bring the female and her to you be it a cpl or a single-f. Suppose it depends what type of guy it is. Some wont mind being a last resort whilst some do mind

In much the same way, we're put off profiles that appear to be primarily looking for single females with couples thrown in as a back up option.

I've seen a few single females/couples looking for couples, seemingly solely looking to play with the female half
