"An ultra is any mileage over a normal marathon. I'm doing a 33 mile trail one, the old knees don't like road running these days!" Plenty of good ultras around here. A mate of mine is an ultra runner, and has been doing 100k and 100milers. He's nuts! | |||

"Did 2 half marathons last weekend another 1 lined up for next week. Bornemouth marathon in 3 weeks, and 2 marathons before the end of the year. Yes, I think it;s safe to say I enjoy running! 2 half marathons in a weekend? I know that's a marathon, but still!" I did it instead of a 20 mile training run for Bourneouth marathon. It was 2 very different races, flat and fast on Saturday (faster than marathon pace but not flat out) hilly trail half at slower than marathon pace on Sunday. It was very much an experiment in training but one that I think has worked | |||
