Whats everyones stance on the younger couples who are into this?

Im 20 and the missus is 19, we have been together for years, are engaged, know what we want and are extremely happy and comfortable together. If anything doing this has only made our relationship better, although we have came across many people (mostly much older) who seem quick to judge and snap that we are "far too young" to be involved in this lovely little community..

Are they just grumpy old cunts or does anyone else agree with them, and please state your reasons for doing so? I mean, personally, I see cant the difference between an 18 year old and a 60 year old doing this, its a matter of personal choice and by that age youre more than ample to be able to make your own decisions and know what it is youre looking for (18 I mean!). But then again, might just be me...

I'm not even sure why you're interested in what others' think? Let's say, for example, that the majority say yes you're too young. Are you going to pick up your ball and go home? I doubt it. And why should you. Just crack on. If people consider you 'too young' to play with, then they can simply pass you by. I'm also sure you'll consider some to be 'too old' and the same therefore applies.

I think the "old guard" way of looking at swinging is that it's to spice up a long term relationship that may have gone a bit stale and something that feels a bit naughty.

The younger generation seem to be a lot more comfortable with their sexual orientations so why should you have to wait until you're in your 40's to try something you know you want to try now?

You guys sound fairly mature, but a lot of folk your age, are not. For people on here, they may not want the risk of drama, (which in my experience can happen at any age) if boundaries are not set or if 1 of the couple is more into it than the other. You say you've been together a long time, but for most couples your age, that won't be the case, I've been on and off here a few yrs and been told several times I'm too young (despite now pushing 30

) but no one can appeal to everyone, some will think you are too young for the scene, some just too young for them, as lots will have kids your age or older and that puts them off, but I'm sure you will find plenty who are interested too! Xxx

You know it's the same for single guys and women maybe not too sure haven't heard there opinion yet but for younger men like me they do say hell no your too young one time i was speaking to a woman on forum for hours just about to set up meeting up tryed messaging here out of age range wasn't I lol spoke to her on forum couple days later she was like your too young. It can be very hard on here to find someone that's okay with the age difference even more harder to find someone that you truly like though don't know some of the young women on here go for the older males and there's plenty of them on here but older women more than likely say your too young

I've seen some people post that they did this when they were younger, (your age), thought they were ready for it at the time, but when they were older realised they hadnt been as mature as they'd thought and regretted what they did.

I know a lot of people that when they're your age think they are mature but in hindsite see that they weren't.

I'm not saying this applies to you, personally I think I was mature at your age, and tbh wish i'd done more back then. We're all different.

We all have our preferences. For example i wouldn't really be comfortable playing with anyone young enough to be my child or old enough to be my parent.

Just because i think you are too young for me doesn't mean i think you are too young to swing.

As you have your preferences then I guess other people have theirs.

We won't meet younger couples as I will automatically go into 'mother mode' I'd be cooking your dinner, asking if you have any washing that needs doing, making sure your fridge is stocked up and making sure you've washed behind your ears.

There are plenty on here in your age bracket or older couples that will enjoy you so go and have fun

Dont think your too young as long as your happy and stable in your relationship our only concerne with much younger couples is weather conversation would flow with you being at such a different stage in life at 20 its usually all about having fun and thats great but approaching mid 30's with 3 young kids its all responsibilities and school runs

We were in the same boat when we first started I were 21(Sarah) and a fair few people said I were too young I just took it as each to the own lv and still get it now and I'm 26.... You will get quite a few people saying it for now... but just move on from it and enjoying swinging xx

We both own our own businesses, often take care of the parents little ones, run a house, pay bills, drive.. everything anyone 20 years older than us would do too. Conversation can still flow with older couples and we find thats the case more so, younger ones we have met seem to only talk about partying, studying etc.. I think we are in the position where we have grown beyond our years so to speak although are still tarnished with the same 'child' brush!

It doesnt stop us, part and parcel of the industry, Im sure. Its just a shame and gets a little annoying when people who you would have thought would be more insightful and open (especially with their chosen pastime!) are quite the opposite..

Looking back I wasn't yet mature enough or grounded enough to handle it, although at the time I thought I was fully mature. are they telling you that you're too young to do this or are they telling you that they're not interested in meeting you because your age puts you outside of their preferences? there's a huge difference in my opinion and calling someone a cunt for having a preference that excludes you isn't really the way to go about becoming part of this lifestyle...

We respect anyones decision to let us know we are too young, as we would do if we had to decline someone who was too old, i just the the former is unnecessary and very rude if anything!

We started at 21, so a little older than you but had the same comments.

Age and maturity aren't the same thing. The worst behaviour and attitudes we've seen come from 40+ women who doesn't know when to put the wine glass down.

Anna, your reply has humbled us. This is the very reason we love the community we are in! I must apologise as I am very boisterous in my sarcasm and can often be misunderstood. I didnt mean anything by it, nor by the fruit comment I made that some people seem to have taken a disliking to! Its all just a bit of fun, Im sure a few had a smile and a chuckle from it so thats good enough for me

If most took the time to talk to us, not even to arrange anything, only to get to know us, as you say im sure they would have a vastly different opinion! We really arent like your typical couple our age so we dont take that as patronising at all, if anything a compliment so thank you!

I started all this when I was 20. Was told by people to go to normal clubs and enjoy being young.

I ignored them had meets with men and couples and attend events and swingers clubs with different partners and generally enjoying the swinging lifestyle.

Still loving it now.

Id take no notice of people if they say your too young. You both want to do this and its not really up to anyone else to you cant.

How can being sexually liberated and open minded from a young age be a bad thing after all?

You sound like a very mature and fun couple. I had threesomes as a 20 year old newly wed and know many people can handle that kind of naughty fun depending upon their relationship and personality.

I would not play with you, as I now have a son in your age group. But

I regularly chat to younger single guys and couples at my local club and enjoy their company and hope that you will venture into clubs before too long. Meeting people face to face give people a better idea of what you are about. (shame some clubs have lower age limits).
