Morning everyone. Seems like everyday I click on fab there is a women's update about been let down by a meet, I was letdown myself by a friend on fab last week rather annoying as still no message off her. Just wondering do people think this is getting more common nowadays on fab??. Obviously not after hearing names of people who let them down as gather wouldn't be allowed

In the time I've been in fab, I'd say it's about the same. I had a no show last week. It's slightly annoying but not the end of the world. Blocked in all areas and move on.

dunno. i don't meet much off here now and only meet guys i've chatted to previously so we know we'll get on with each other, or previous meets.

when i used to meet i was never let down, but i'm talking last year.

shame if people are fucking about though.

It's never happened to us and I'm not sure why. We wondered if it's because we're older and our meets are older too or we're so scary they wouldn't dare not turn up . It must be horrible to be let down and I don't know if it happens more often or not

I imagine it's about the same.

Although I can usually see the signs the other person is about to bail, by the lack of contact on the day. There are all sorts of reasons why people 'no show'.

After being on here for awhile I don't let it bother me!

I'd never put anything negative on my status, yes its annoying but no need to rant about it. I've been on and off here for 5 years and its happened twice, both were social meets in a coffee shop I'd be in anyway on my break so no issue really. I guess it all depends on how you go about your meets, selection process etc but it happens even if you are meticulous with your planning.

Well according to various forum threads it's very common. It's never happened to us though, but we're very careful about who we meet.

"Well according to various forum threads it's very common. It's never happened to us though, but we're very careful about who we meet."

but you have to remember that its a very small proportion of fab members use the forums, iirc its less than half a percent

We're into the local (to us) party scene, just a few like minded cpls of various ages meeting up and having fun, that works for us. However, the two occasions this summer when we arranged dates, times and places to meet we were let down, shan't go into details but you all know the drill. End result, back to our regular scene and move on. Job done!

weve been lucky and never had a no show but then the amount of meets that do happen as opposed to the no shows is probably quite a high percentage -

I've had no shows before. The most frustrating thing is the lack of communication.

Wanted a bi MMF, found two chaps. Plenty of chat up until yesterday then one disappeared. The other turned out to be someone brilliant I got to know better and want to be friends with which might not have discovered if the other had turned up.

Was annoyed initially but swings and roundabouts.

yes exactly that, meet was arranged for Wednesday evening and still not heard anything off her. Totally understand there might be a occasion when you might have to cancel a meet but surely a quick message isn't hard to send

Had few no shows (including with us having a hotel room already booked) and quite a few cancellations... Unfortunately lots of people here getting a thrill just from chatting, talkers not doers... No shows are really annoying hence we set a rule of 'first time-social only' it works perfectly fine for us and it's less frustrating as we can treat it as just evening out X

I always have a social meet first somewhere of my choosing local to where I am at the time, this ensures that if they didn't show I wasn't too put out. This usually sorts the fantasists and fakes

When I used to organise bigger parties I would get a few "guests" not showing up....but usually people who I didn't know/had little contact with.

As far as "meets" are concerned nada, none, zilch...never had a no show once firm arrangements made. It is rude.

The Garden of Eden in Beautiful North Wales

I spent years before I actually did meet saying 'No' because I knew I couldn't do it through nerves. I never messed people around, yeah I flirted with them and occasionally went on cam but I always said no to an actual meet.

I do understand that there are people on here that feel the same way as I did then but instead of being upfront and honest, they prefer to talk the talk with no inclination of meeting.... The truth is, once they've shot their snot into a tissue and wiped their cock on the curtains, they are so embarrassed and consumed with guilt by what they've just done that they just switch everything off and hide.... till the next time!

Motto of this post?

Learn to walk before you talk.

We have had a number of no shows this year from single males who usually complain about how hard it is to get a meet. I think our age is putting some off. The annoying thing is we let men make the first move in contacting us.. assuming that that means they have some interest .. perhaps we were wrong.
