Law of averages probably dictates men message first. Message who you like the sound and look of, no expectations should be expected so if it gets deleted don't take it too personally.

When women/couples do message first though it is amazeballs

I have only ever messaged men first because of something they've written in the forums.

I wouldn't just message a random man on here.

I'd say men send the vast majority of intial messages.

That is also to say it is not unheard of for women to send the first message either.

It's nice when a women messages 1st, especially if they tell you the score / set the boundaries......,

Rubbish when you send a lady a nice message / compliment & they delete !

But am sure you get used too that... Ha

I send very few messages and I get a response to a good percentage of those.

Some ladies take the initiative, those that are proactive can find those that interest them rather than wait for and have to sift through many unsuitable messages..

I used to mail men first but out of all the guys I mailed I never got a single reply, I concluded from this that my standards where to high and I was obviously punching above my weight in the guys I was selecting so now I just reply to men I like who mail me first

We both send messages or should say mainly reply to them but someone new to us then it's normally MrJ.

I have messaged first when I find a profile that really stands out. I do find it quite weird, and always check that they aren't offended by it, So far I've only had positive responses.
