Because they're either checking out the competition.

They could be checking who you've been meeting if they're after a sure thing.

They could be not quite as straight as they claim and wanna roger you senseless.

Just ask them

A lot of the time it's because you're a friend or have met someone they are interested in meeting. Compare the competition. If a lady only has veri's from tattood body builders I'm pretty sure I'm not her type

Could also be checking a verification before messaging the lady concerned. I do check their verifications if they have them available. It's a bit like using the green arrow for people forum posts. Gives a flavour of what they are like.

(Him here) I'm somewhat of a TV and straight guy magnet on here lol. Just lighten up and take everything as a compliment. You know that nothing will ever happen anyhow, so who cares.
