Hey there

We're looking to go to the Cap and wondered if anyone has been there and has any info on places to stay, clubs to go to etc.

We're looking for a bit of nude sunbathing, but also for a bit of naughty fun whilst we're there. After all, isn't that what holidays are for?

There'll be others better placed to help than I am but I was there a couple of years back. Stayed low down in Port Nature Collines. Cheap and cheerful but that was fine - it was never intended as anything more than a place to sleep. Most of the big agencies (google for them) offer a range of accommodation across the site. Get the brochures and choose.

Plenty to do and see (almost 24x7) not least of which were the sights in the apartments above.

It's pretty much as you describe but nothing like what I believe Butlins was like. Besides the regular weekly/ fortnightly holiday makers, day visitors are allowed. I don't know what it costs or how the management ensure they leave at the end of the day.

I suppose in one respect it's a wee bit like Butlins in that it attracts families - maw, paw and the weans - and that can be a bit disconcerting for some visitors.

From my experience as a day visitor a few years ago, the family areas tend to be fairly distinct from the more overt swinging areas.

The far end of the beach gets quite a lot of action in the late afternoon, and the dunes can be *very* busy!

The accommodation blocks and shopping areas are fairly dated - seventies-style - which makes it quite a surreal sort of place, but there's lots of fun going on!

So, Jim, tell us a bit more about the apartments above you and what was going on?!

They're laid out raking in up to the top and each has a little patio in front of French windows. There's a path runs past the front of most (all?) of them so you can access your apartment from there as well as an internal stair.

Lots of folk use their patio as a play area or leave the light on in their apartment for voyeurs and would be joiners-in.

There are regulat security check but so long as no harm is being done I've yet to see anything being stopped.

I thought the dunes had been fairly comprehensively fenced off but you're right about the furthest away end of the beach - almost where the 'clothes required' signs start. That can get pretty hectic once it gets a bit cooler. Watch out for a circle of guys - the action will be going on inside the circle. Listen for whistling - it means the cops are coming.

been to cap'dagde

the resort is acutally barriered off... kinda like entering a huge butlins...

its beaches are nudist and there is a resturant called zen that you need to pre book ... they have 2 settings a night and its a swinging resturant with a bed in the middle... kinda funny.... also there is a night club called glamour ....

would have to say its more of an exhibitionists place than a swingers place.....well thats what I found anyway

We went to Cap 12 months ago, having decided we would like to try a nudist resort (with extras!).

During the day the vast majority of people are naked, and spend the time on the beach.

The beach itself is divided into four sections (althoough there are no physical markers to denote each section).

The first bit, in front of the apartments is for families.

Then there is a stretch of about 200m which is supposed to be the "quiet" area, and then you come to the adult bit.

It is pretty obvious what it is... towels are placed only a few feet apart, it is crowded, and throughout the day there will be people playing. Easy to spot, as a crowd of mainly single guys will gather around the people playing, even occasionally giving a polite round of applause at the end of the performance!

In the evening people tend to dress up, but often wearing the kind of clothing that you would only see in swingers clubs in the uk - stockings and suspenders are pretty passe..... watch out for the people in bondage gear and rubber!

There are as we recall about seven swingers clubs on the site, the biggest being Glamour. Les Jules is for couples only. we did not try any of the others, as we met a lovely English couple on the beach on the second day, and spent our time with them until they left.

It is not cheap - we stayed in an apartment in Heliopolis, which was pretty basic, but adequate.

The weirdest thing was going to the supermarket naked!

We would highly recomend a trip there to anyone who swings, but take a few days of to recover when you get home!
