I am not sure if I am in the minority on here but when someone contacts me and I am not interested in pursuing it further I do like to think I deal with it in a polite and non abusive fashion.

Today, even I have been shocked by a response to an introductory email I sent replying "No thx, too ugly!"

Mainly I am shocked that I mailed someone who uses text speak which I am not fluent in! Also that they felt there was no need to be rude and call me ugly!!!! lol

We had a guy contact us who couldn't accomodate (neither can we), and also sent a friends invite, these we don't accept until after meeting although happy to exchange face pics. Explained both of these things in a message and his reply was F*** OFF, how very charming. Would have blocked him but he'd already blocked us!!!

Best to think of such messages as self fulfilling blocks and just ignore them.

I would be tempted to report that one if it was unprovoked as you say.

There are some really rude people on here but thankfully they are outnumbered by polite, respectful non pushy people. I've had quite a few racist comments because I like black men and sometimes even if I do send a polite 'no thanks' I get reams of abuse telling me I think I'm too nice! Just laugh at the rude ones and don't give up. You're not ugly at all! X

We did report him, we are always polite and maybe naive enough to think everyone else is. We were brought up to treat people how you would like to be treated yourself, not like that these days sadly.

I think some people possibly get more attention online than they would in the outside world so build themselves a bit of a god complex and as such, feel they can be rude.

Although the only time someones ever been abusive towards me, I just thought well at least I found out they were a bit of a bitch before it was too late.

Either way, I wouldnt lose sleep over it.

Some of us don't even have to mail anyone to get rude emails. I received one from a random stranger that simply told me I was 'a dog'. Pretty clever of him to deduce that considering I don't post face pics publicly.

Fair do's I am a dog... but I could win best in the show.......

If someone thinks you are ugly then they are entitled to think that. If they use it as an explanation then you have to respect their honesty. Is it rude? Well some will say yes others just brutally honest, however to post contents of personal messages is breaking the rules so maybe its you who is out of order.

I hope all of these "brutually honest" people look like Jennifer Aniston or George Clooney. It is bloody rude to say someone is ugly regardless of if they are being honest - cheeky gits.

And on the point of the look at me type of thing, is OP really the only single guy that does that, a quick look in the Lounge tells me not....

I dont see a problem with look at me threads, we are all here to promote ourselves and its all good fun, I personally like them.

Do I think the OP is ugly - err errr let me think, ah hell lets just be honest, he's absolutely gorgeous
