Buddies Hotel,

thinking of going. this will be our first time going to a swinging hotel(club not sure how to describe this place lol) never played full swing with other couples.not sure how to go about this. do we tell ppl we are new to wanting to play with cpls.what happens if we get nervous and decide we dont want to play.

can anyone give us some advice how to start. or is this the wrong place to start ... any help welcome.

Buddies is a great place, no pressurs, just tell people that itis your1st time and you want to see hw you feel as the night progresses and they will give you space to go at your own pace, we went and had a great time and love to meet new people there

we`ve been before and loved it frank beth & ian try very hard to make you feel welcome,we`ve also been to the other blackpool venues in the past ( paradise,funhouse,euphoria,infusion and also serenity/passions before it transferred to buddies )they all have there good points and we are likely to return to them again in the future,we will be at buddies again on 27th & 28th march with a few other friends from up here hopefully,see you there if anyone is going

Have they sorted the smoking out at this place yet ?? Went about 6 months ago and people were smoking every were.. The main room was that thick of smoke we had to go to our room.. which smelt of .. yeah smoke .. Hosts are great fun tho ..

we lost out swinging virginity in buddies way back in october last year. we were both scared but intrigued as to what happens and how it all starts of, but dont beth comes in has a chat to all the first timers and explains evrything to you. you are not force4d to do stuff you dont want and welcome just to sit and people watch. we cant wait to go back again. maybe this time we will even be awake in time to try the breakfasts, ian is mad beth and frank are lovely.

Whoa,that sounds off putting and would deffinitely put us off.Its bad enough getting a smoking room at a Lodge,when they have no non-smoking available.Its like sleeping in a curing shed.We'd check before going,hope it is sorted because it sounds great fun.

Have been to Buddies so many times .. buddies is a great place to introduce yourselves to the club side of swinging .. we find it to be an environment with no pressure at all to swing .. u can just go and have a drink in the bar and talk to like minded couples and singles .. if you find its not for you you have the opportunity to escape to your room. We cant recommend it enough .. having been to so many other clu_s we have found buddies to be the most enjoyable by far .. Happy Swinging x x

Hi thanks .. we was there on Saturday nite again after a break for a few months and the place doesn't change .. the atmosphere is amazing and there is no pressure to swing at all .. we had a thoroughly enjoyable time and really cant recommend it enough .. hope to see u there sometime very soon x x

We have been to buddies twice now and on both occasions met people to play with in the big playroom, the atmosphere is relaxed and fun as the hosts make you feel welcome and Ian is just mad! the bar is cheap so if you dont want to play you can relax and converse with other likeminded people, no pressure from anyone, no means no to the few select single men they sometimes let in, and the breakffasts are just what you need after a hard nights play !! Cant wait to go back

The OP asked for opinions, the post you have taken umbrage with gave an opinion. Informed or not not sure what is causing you such a problem, unless of course you work at Buddies and therefore see the post as a bit of a threat.

And quite right as well, however if someone who was posting on this thread did work at Buddies, not saying there is of course, but it would be nice to get a comment on the smoking issues raised a few posts back

There is no smoking issue at Buddies .. having been many times .. we have never found a problem with it ..

also found nothing wrong re the ealier posting saying they had heard it was full on so they went to another ...

it says on your profile you are often found in buddies ...do you work there....if so what is the smoking policy now?

sort of answered part of my own question here in that i saw on one of the reviews you are "the hosts"....

so in the interest of fairness so its not a compromised psuedo advert for Buddies which i am sure is brilliant ....

does anyone know of any other swing hotels in blackpool and what are they like .?

There are quite a few good clu_s/hotels that way and Ive heard great reviews about all of them. Seems like Blackpool is the place to be whatever club you go to

Hi there .. we have been to every swing hotel in Blackpool .. there is quite a few .. we prefer Buddies due to the atmosphere and the fact that there is always quite a lot of couples there .. the others are Euphoria which we used to go to quite a lot this used to be a good little club however it is not just hard core dance and electro music and there parties are continuing until 6 - 7am in the morning .. which if this is your thing thats great however if you like to get some sleep before your journey home like us you'll probably find its not for you. Also we found that it went quite down hill very quickly and was quite grotty and dirty and quite expensive at the bar .. the other hotel is the paradise hotel went there once for the weekend and wouldn't recommend the place to my worst enemy .. very very grotty .. unsociable and has very poor standards .. the other place is not a hotel just a club which is Infusion .. now been there maybe 4 times its not for us at all .. you take your own alcohol which has an habit of vanishing .. there is a pool and sauna and hot tub which is nice however no sexual activity whatsoever is allowed to happen in these areas and also just doesn't get that busy and rather pricy for what it is .. but on its good points it is clean and has quite a few playrooms .. the club section on here gives quite a good inidiction to the standards of club in this area .. Have fun and happy swinging ..

We went to infusion about a month ago, had a great time .As the previous poster said spotless ,we had no problem with drinks going. Found the people there friendly and courteous,showed us around and treated us right

just want to point out we have no connection with the place

Yeah we would second that .. If your a non smoker or cant stand very over powering smoke then go else where !

If it was really smoky that would kill it for us. we meet considerate smokers but hate foggy rooms .

just wanted to say ive been to both buddies and infusions and to be honest i much prefered infusions

everyones different i guess and whats one persons preference might not be anothers but just wanted to say what i thought

If anyone cared to look we have actualy given the Paradise hotel a good review,we always have a great time there and think the hosts are a lovely couple.As we have done for other places we have visited.We simply wondered why when people ask about a specific place (any place) you get comments from people who have never been there.We are not trying to promote anywhere as you will see if you read our responses, so we will post no more on this subject

errr i thought the original poster asked for advice on if buddies was the right place or not ...not specifically about it ...it implied they were looking for other options too ...it seems the main drag about it is the smoking ..forgive the pun lol and there are alternatives ...so whatsssssup????

buddies is a great place to go for first timers,we have been 4 times in 2 years even though we are a soft swop couple there is no pressure to play,what we seem to do is look for a couple who we are attracted to and ask them would they like to join us in our own rooms upstairs away from the open playrooms so no pressure what's so ever.

the host at buddies are very laid back so this helps if you are new

We haven't been for a while, but last time we went there was a problem with people smoking and the air was very thick.

We did like the place and Mrs R got on well with Ian! If only they would at least limit smoking to one room!
