Timewasters

Anyone experiencing timewasters on here? Promises to meet turn to nothing? I understand it is hard to trust people on an internet site but why do people extract as much information as they can about you then decide you are "not thier type" especially if you have been honest with them from the start? It may sound like I am whinging but I just want to understand how peoples minds work on here. I appreciate everyones advice. There are some really lovely people on here. The timewasters however spoil the friendly vibe I have found on this site so far.

Yes. Everything was fine. She even told me she was looking forward to meeting up with me. Then after the conversation ended texted me saying I was not her type??

Unfortunately , there are people out there who's kink is .....fucking you about for their own amusement . And I'm not talking about preferences or circmstances such as work or babysitters getting in the way . I'm talking endless messages going on to meet....then when the bluff is called ...they are gone . Just accept that on the whole the good ones cancell these people out and enjoy your time here .

It wasn't a waste of time. You enjoyed it whilst it lasted, after all, even if it was just chat. Nothing wrong with that. Was your expectation for sex? Like the above poster said, anyone can say no at any time. Just find someone else.

The expectation was sex and other activities but only because they had told me that was what they wanted.

We never had an experience on Fab with soneone we would consider to be a time-waster. However we have had numerous experiences of chatting to people, discussing the possibility of a meet, and then them going quiet. I always assumed that their circumstances had changed, or we weren't for them, or they had changed their mind. I never for one minute regarded these people as time wasters. I mean we were only chatting - it was hardly a waste of our time. We chat to loads of people on Fab. Times wasting is when someone doesn't turn up, or has no intention of meeting anyone.

Yes that's a timewaster, end of, just understand that it's okay for ladies to change there mind at anytime, of course if a guy was to do the same thing the wrath of fab would be upon them! Take it in the chin and move on, count yourself lucky that you even managed to gleam a reply from a single lady on fab, learn the lesson now before you get dispondent, get out to clubs, socials etc and meet real people x

Time wasters keep me indoors on laptop, otherwise I would be in the predicament of assisting ladies in heels and dresses, climbing over rooftops to assist in criminality and hot sex afterwards! Who wants that?

I would only consider it a waste of time if you had gone to meet her and she had failed to turn up, and nor had she given any reason...

anything prior to arranging an actual meet is not a waste of time as no time has been wasted in waiting around

From what you say I'm guessing something you said made her decide you weren't for her after all. Having expectations about having sex when you've not met face to face is quite 'full on'.

It's not timewasting. That's when you leave your house to meet someone and they don't show up!!! I never think someone is going to show up until they actually do

Sometimes, in The heat of the moment, arrangements can be suggested etc. Then, with hindsight either party may decide not to go along with it.

I understand you feel confused, but atlrranging sex with a virtual stranger takes a lot of balls ( pun intended), just see it as fun while it lasted.

No. Three times they made arrangements with me then let me down. It seemed like they were trying to extract a lot of personal information from me. Where I lived, my car registration. My phone number. Where I worked. All seemed ok and even when I spoke to the wife of the couple on the phone she seemed genuinly up for meeting. Then after we spoke she text me saying I was not her type. Why could she not have said that on the telephone rather than being pleasant and saying she was looking forward to meeting me?

The way you described it was that you agreed to meet on a particular day. But then you chatted on the phone, after which she sent you a text saying she you weren't her type. Obviously something happened during the phonecall that caused her to feel different. That's not being dishonest, nor is it time wasting. If anything she was being very honest - she realised you weren't for her after talking to you, so she told you straight, so as not to waste any more of your time. Being dishonest is telling lies about ones circumstances.

No I wouldn't say that to someone on the phone. If I changed my mind during a phonecall, I would need to think about it for a few minutes then send a carefully crafted message once I've decided what I want to do.

We all use fab in a way suits us best.. I set myself timescales.. within X amount of days I would like a number.. within X I would like a meet. I stop talking to someone as a "we will meet soon" never happens.

Yes we are all busy.. dont swap numbers etc etc... but thats how I reduce my time on here with idle chit chat
