I know what I should and shouldn't be eating; I can make low calorie meals,drink more water and say no to sugar laden foods. Think of nourishing your body on a cellular level and not just to fill your stomach. Get used to walking past the cakes and biscuits,buying leaner meat,not using sugar. "We have looked at all you folks who say your on a diet the question is, Why? you all look just great. We whent on a lifestyle holiday to spice in lanzarote. We were worried about how we would look etc etc.... but when we got there it was so relaxed and liberating walking around naked. There were all sorts of different shapes and sizes and every single body there was beautiful in there own way. It was the little imperfections that makes an attraction. The most beautiful lady there must have been a size 18 plus french lady. Ok going for a Kebab now xxx ![]() ![]() Because aesthetics are shallow. I do it to not die over many years of diabetes complications and live a life of ability, not disability. The fact I happen to look smoking hot is just an added bonus. | |||

Ok going for a Kebab now xxx ![]() ![]() I got told at a routine checkup a few years ago that my blood pressure was a little high. So I decided to do something about it. It had nothing to do with aesthetics; I thought I was gorgeous at a size 20 and don't think I look that much different now I'm a few sizes smaller. It's also nice to be able to buy clothes without being limited to the big girl section (although that's still necessary with bras and capsizes). I still won't buy from a few shops though; they didn't want my custom before so they're not getting it now, the sizeist bastards. | |||

I've done this for the last 8 weeks and lost 22lb. Not only is it good for weight loss, but there are plenty of other good effects this has on health like lowering blood sugar and reducing the chance of cancer. I wasn't exactly overweight to start with either, so it's not like I was a chubster with loads to lose. "I don't do fad diets,they are usually not backed up by science and not sustainable. I want a healthy body,not a starved one. " This is a good point but it's worth remembering that a lot of the diet and healthy eating advice given by doctors and health care professionals at the moment isn't backed up by (reliable) science and could be making the obesity problem worse. Many now believe that the advice we've been given over numerous years about eating low fat is bad and that the science apparently supporting it is not reliable. Every new way of eating begins somewhere and will be a fad until established. Some fads have foundation, particularly when considering that no one diet or lifestyle will suit every single individual. I'm a strong believer in LCHF as an approach, and there is plenty of research on it. I'm also looking into the grain free approach, (the wheat belly diet and similar), as that seems to have some merit. It seems like quite a daunting change to make though and I need to be fully committed to it, with enough time to focus on doing it properly. | |||
