Why do people put pictures on profile that are from years ago

Surely after so long they shine updated

How old is old?

Some profiles have been here for years, and feature a variety of photos.

While I do like to update my photos occasionally, I like the selection that I have now even though some are a couple of years old I have not changed in that time.
