Why are so many people ageist and put low upper limits on age range.

I am 61 and both younger looking and fitter than a lot of people in their 50's.

It is such a frustrating trait.

Any comments?

Its because people have personal preferences. No different to liking slim women, bbw or anything in between.

I personally don't want to meet anyone young enough to be my child or old enough to be my parent

Your profile says you're 60 and you have an upper limit of 72, what are your reasons for having a low upper limit 27 years under the possible highest?

I don't want to fuck anyone younger than my brothers or older than my dad. Seems fair.

I rarely find older men attractive physically or mentally.

its also down to personal choice so no point questioning it...

it has absolutely nothing to do with ageism either

I far prefer the fad on other sites of everyone setting their age to 90+.

Age is just a number.

It's not ageism, it's personal choice. Ageism is denying somebody something that they would normally expect to be entitled to, based entirely on age. None of us are entitled to meeting anyone else on here.

So let me get this straight: YOU can have age preferences, but if others have that exclude you, that's ageism?!!

Get over yourself: entitled much!

I do not see anything wrong in a member having an upper age limit(and specifying it) , what is likely though is that many members do have an upper age limit and don't specify it or change the filter from the default giving a false impression.

Perhaps they just don't fancy you and it has nothing to do with your age. Do you fancy every person in the world?

I'm in my sixties and accept that I may be too old for some, but quite acceptable to others.

I focus my attention on the latter, and am contacted by them, which works out fine
