Feel like a bull doing handy work

As a tradesman I find myself loving working for single women and especially couples where I'm doing handyman jobs, painting etc and the female half of the couple has rung up and asked for me to come over and sort out something that her husband can't, I feel like I'm being lusted after as a male that can sort out most diy work, shame I've never had the luck for it to develop though have worked for some cracking ladies, Any other tradesmen feel like this?

It's all relative though isn't it?

I had a guy come around and retile our kitchen floor. Why? Because I don't have the appropriate tools to cut everything into shape or the time or experience to do it as well as a professional could.

But I'll do many other DIY jobs around the house.

Did I feel 'less of a man' as I knew a professional could do the job better? Not really. I'm quite sure I'm better at doing what I do than he would be as that's my expertise.

I don't put myself on a pedestal about my specialism and don't feel inferior to others who have theirs.

Actually we're quite local you might have been the guy I had around doing my floor!

Although if you are you're lying about your age

Hope you don't mind me being a leeetle bit contrary, but most think that they can do DIY, then call a pro' to put right the dogs dinner that they create!

Its all relevant I work with my hands to I have know painters and decorators sub the work out on their own house because one their mate didn't have a lot on two because its one thing to work all week at a job and another to do the same job on your days off .

I've known builders do the same thing let a mate who's not got a lot on do parts of their home improvements again for the same reasons .

My husband was rubbish at any diy except painting and decorating, which he only did when he was in the mood. Usually he got someone he was training to practice in my house or he would start and not finish it. We had friends who he traded work with,so their decorating was done when we needed carpentry or plumbing done.

As a tradesman myself I tend to put the fun part aside . Work is work at the end of the day . If anything happens then think of it as a bonus . Don't get me wrong there are some very pretty ladies out there , but I don't advertise myself as a ' extras tradesman ' . If I was to do work for someone on here then that's different . They know I'm on here and if things wanted to go further then so be .

I see where your coming from op but I've found that a lot of people think they're better than you because they can afford to pay you to do it.

These are the worst customers.

Just being realistic . You are there to work , not seduce the customer . As said if they know I was on here and agreed to play after , then that's a different story .
