You know those profiles, they look fake, they act fake. However you persist as the chat gets real interesting.

Then nonfake things happen, a phone number, a chat, realistic photo.

Who's chatted to someone thinking this too good to be true, this is so fake only for it to be too real?

Think my fakedar is playing up, I'll soon find out.

These fakes can be extremely cunning, and remember , even if they are the person you think they are, their intentions and promises may be fake, good luck though

Ask for a specific photo that cannot be faked - I caught a would be dom out (another site) by asking for a selfie of him holding a spoon. He had loads of selfies, but could not produce that one and started lecturing me on Trust. Shame, he looked too good to be true but said all the right things lol!

Same here!i ask them there and then to send a selfie with something random - spoon, a dvd, a bottle of milk lol. I use to do the newspaper trick years ago but not everyone has a daily paper anymore.

If someone can't do that within a reasonable amount of short time its normally a good indication

Someone ask us to do similar.

Took the photo then found the only pics you can send they fab messages are the one in your profile.

Took about 10-15 mins to upload to profile before I could send it.

There's fucking loads over here , gay single guys pretending to be women to get pics off you and bizarrely....a meet . At what fucking point would you not find out ? Politeness doesn't work on these pests as they persist , only the threat of a left hook to get them to fuck off . Told admin , nothing gets done . You even put an update about fakes it gets taken down in hours .

Someone contacted me once - hidden profile, lots of excuses - but immediately sent me her kik, whatsapp, phone number, email etc... so alarm bells started ringing.

She wanted to meet for coffee but by that time, I was so sure she was full of shit, I approached the whole thing with 'meh'.

As it turned out, she was genuine and actually quite nice - but by then, my incredulity and suspicion had manifested as a lack of interest and the meet was doomed.

Have been on here before with an ex so the fakedar tends to work well, except once

little on the profile except what looked like a porn pic and in the chatroom vague to say the least, we were off to chams that night anyway so the final message from us was 'see you there'

And sat just behind the reception door when we arrived... rather real and good fun! happy night had by all

That's why I always go on kik and with in the first few messages ask for a live pic of them... (the one that you take though kik and it says camera on the bottom and not gallery) the way you know they are real.. x

On a Facebook app I was chatted up by a man with professional photos. He had a nice face and a well looked after muscular body. After we chatted a while I asked for a particular photo of him,which he happily sent.

That's I didn't think lol.. yep having there number and you ringing them. I will remember that.. if I had a fab phone as well I would have 3 phone.. person ..work...a day fab lol. Not feeling that xx

Not totally but dramatically cuts down. There are genuine people not photo verified as well as fakes that are but both rare in my experience.

I use the filters to filter out non verified from messaging me.

Had this with my ex. Was so convinced they were a time waster that I arranged another meet 3 hours prior to the first we had arranged. In fairness she had given me good cause to think she was a time waster. Got the shock of my life when she turned out to be real.

Ive met a couple of guys who seemed too good to be true but were actually real! The last one I asked for a specific pic as it was a short notice meet and he immediately sent it through. Sometimes you fall lucky as there's some right hotties on here

Disagree, meeting someone in real life is the BEST way to establish if someone is fake; but that has it's drawbacks of course.

My Skype contains 'real life' details about me so I don't tend to use it.

Happened to me once, on a previous profile. Loved her pic, thought, she's to hot to be real.

Sent a message and got a reply straight back, which was another suprise. Chatted for an hour or so, and she seemed really into me, so that made me a little suspicious too.

Infact I didn't really believe she was real until I answered the door and there she was.

And it was a fantastic night, repeated twice more.

I have been told I am fake loads of times but usually by guys who I have turned down so no big surprise there.

I don't have loads of verifications as I don't choose to meet loads of people but sufficient enough to show I am not fake lol!!!!

About 2 years ago when I was on here before I got a message from a new local couple profile, seemed to good to be true and the profile text was just "want a fuck"

However they were quick to exchange numbers and within an hour was given their address to meet for a MMF.

Happy to say that they were definitely not fake, and have met them several times since, and get on with them and have a laugh outside of fab as well
