Cock tease profiles

We know there are loads of fake profiles that can be both annoying and hilarious but fair play to admin they seem to be quick to ban the obvious ones . There does however seem to be a influx of what I call 'cock tease profiles ', these tend to be real profiles but never have any intention of meeting people even though they post meet adds frequently and suggest on their profile that is what they are looking for. I think these are worse than fake profiles because they are impossible to ban but probably cause more problems .

P.S please don't post the it's 'their choice' 'they can use the site as they wish type posts as they are tedious

I'm sure there's a helluva lot who assume I'm a cock tease profile for not even replying but dude, I'm currently at 143 unread mails, and I spend a considerable amount of time on here, replying. And I meet. But if I met every single guy who mailed me, I would never get off my back or out of a bar.

Maybe that's how those members get off... maybe it's just the attention they're after to make them feel good. If that's the case then who are we to judge how they get their kicks? Just avoid them. You'll never change how other people behave, all you can control is your reaction to it.

True, I guess I have a radar for these profiles now, they should come with a warning though , maybe there should be a running number on your profile every time you post a meet

Or they are meeting from another site, or hooking up with someone they know already, or they just don't use the verification system, or they chose to watch a movie instead..... any number of things

People may post for a meet through here but may get to see an offsite FWB. ... they may change plans ...YOU don't know what is happening behind the scenes you are assuming.

No, this is my point, you can't remove them as they are not breaking the rules, and I agree , you can't prove they are not meeting but we have all seen these types of profiles. Maybe if your not verified you can't post a meet as often or not at all

I disagree ... I don't meet anymore now but before every time I did express an interest to meet and wanted to, none of the offers were what I wanted; so I never met. Doesn't mean I was teasing, it was just that what I was looking for didn't present itself. (Probably why I don't meet anymore)

I think the clear remedy is to avoid getting in touch with those Meet Today postings as they're much more likely to harbour misleading profiles.

There's not much else you can do other than rail against it

I get what you're saying, OP. I guess it just doesn't bother me because I don't look at those profiles and only rarely look at posted meets anymore.

I will say, though, that we have posted meet requests and put up statuses that say we want a meet today and that those who are serious and who meet our preferences should get in touch. I've never had any succes with them because people inevitably either don't meet our preferences or don't send a face pic/answer replies/etc.

I could see how our meet requests with no subsequent verification could seem incongruous to someone who isn't privy to our inbox, but I dont really care. Maybe those other people you mention have a similar problem. Or maybe they as fake. But if they are fake then they are easy to spot an you could block them and never see them again.

I occasionally post that I'm attending a club but like you nearly all responses don't tick my boxes so wouldn't result in a verification

:/ that doesn't mean I've gone alone though

I think being on here you have to learn how to spot fakes and also learn to accept what you can't control and either let it wash over you or don't put yourself in the situation you know winds you up.

No, this is my point, you can't remove them as they are not breaking the rules, and I agree , you can't prove they are not meeting but we have all seen these types of profiles. Maybe if your not verified you can't post a meet as often or not at all

I think the clear remedy is to avoid getting in touch with those Meet Today postings as they're much more likely to harbour misleading profiles.

"I disagree ... I don't meet anymore now but before every time I did express an interest to meet and wanted to, none of the offers were what I wanted; so I never met. Doesn't mean I was teasing, it was just that what I was looking for didn't present itself. (Probably why I don't meet anymore)
