Strange encounter

By (user no longer on site) OP

Got chatting to a.local guy on here and he seemed nice. We chatted on a.number of occasions before he suggested a social. Was going on holiday however so told him we should wait until I returned. I then told him I had a family meal arranged so needed to go. He casually asked where and then said enjoy.

I arrived a few hours later at the restaurant with my.family.and ten mins later henwalked in with his wife and son. Sat in a seat behind me staring at me which I found unnerving. We left and then an hour later he.messaged.me.on the site saying he had persuaded his wife who knew nothing about his fab life to come out for a meal and

asked if I liked the look of him in the flesh. He was good looking but the experience was a bit off-putting to say the least. Anyone had a similar experience?

You do get into some scrapes don't you OP? My life is horribly uneventful in comparison.

Sounds very weird, bit stalkerish and not the behaviour of someone that's got your best interests at heart by putting you in a compromising and difficult position if you're there with your family.

Some people's behaviour is almost unbelievable. Literally unbelievable

Actually my apols OP I'm confusing you with the 'shagging the Gas lad' lady from yesterday but she's a totally different person. Sincere apologies. I retract my opening sentence!

Very odd behaviour by that guy, proceed with caution!

That's appalling .... my blood runs cold at the variety of dreadful outcomes which might have arisen from his crass behaviour. It's shocking enough he's unwittingly involved his poor wife but who the hell would also bring a child into a situation that might have turned nasty? I hope he doesn't know where you live.

I agree, no recognition or respect for your boundaries at all, and none for his family. Extremely dangerous.

Block blockity blockadoodle. What a weird freaky twat!

There is a small percentage on here that go too far in being nosy. There's a fine line between showing interest and being overly nosey.

I (and I assume others) have my location as a fairly large geographic area (for me Teesside), that gives you all you need to know. If I'm accommodating you can be damn sure I met you first socially before giving address out.

Always get the 'whereabouts in Teesside are you?' Well if I wanted people to know that it'd be on my profile nosy get! Previously put on the town I live in and get 'Whereabouts in (Mytown) are you?'

"What you do for a living?"

"How many kids you got?"

"Where will you be eating?"

All overly nosy questions to my mind, but maybe I'm over thinking it as I get accused of not chatting enough

"Have any of your friends ever suggested you aren't a good judge of character? "

I never tell anyone who I'm chatting to online even the town I live in never mind where I am going to be in a couple of hours time.

But that guy seriously crossed the line. Fucking about behind his wifes back is onw thing but to disrespect her and their family to stalk a potential shag is quite another.

Block him

That is stalker behaviour. Very creepy. Also what an arse for bringing his unsuspecting wife and son along. I would tell him to get lost.

Central

Don't divulge personal information beyond what is essential for others to know. And especially not before you've met others.

In small towns people can be easy to pinpoint, eg one cinema or fitness centre towns.

After you've met others then it's still wise to limit the personal details that you share.

Report any inappropriate behaviour to admin and engage the police if others become menacing.
