How important is the first message??

Is it really important, especially for women and couples or you just ignore it and move to the profile and the photos?

most women will check out a profile before even opening a message so initially its your profile, and it being apparent that you have read theirs as well that will hopefuly mean your message gets read..

if you're highly physically attractive to the person you're message it shouldn't matter too much. but sometimes what you say can put that person off you.

I read the message first... If it doesn't work for me it's a deleted and if it's a good first message I look at the profile

I Look at the profile before reading the message.

If there nothing there that I like, I sometimes don't even bother reading the message.

If the message is funny or articulate then I'll read and respond even if it's a no.

Generally it just depends on the feeling I get from the profile. Hope that helps!

You Dont Need to Know, right now

Anything can be a deal-breaker. I might read the profile and look at the pics first (naff profile and 20 dick-pics have me reaching for the 'delete' button). But a crass first message also leads to a 'delete', as can over-explicit verifications.

Basically, you've got to have all your ducks in a row.

If your message showed that you had read my profile and that you were genuinely looking for something similar then I'd definitely reply.

However you need to have a good profile too.

A nice face pic sent privately is a big plus as well!
