Had someone get annoyed when I said that if they met me it would have to be covered as they had been with someone with lots of verifications - am I wrong to insist?

If you meet someone who has loads of partners and they subsequently have loads of partners then aren't you talking about having exposure to hundreds of people, most of whom you don't know?

You are right to insist on condoms. But that should be irrespective of their sexual history. I think it's best not to comment on people's sexual history, and just assume that everybody has multiple partners.
