Firstly, to assume that any topic has to be linked to sex on here to get discussed is a childish notion. We are adults and are perfectly capable of talking about grown up things without the need to link it to sex.

Secondly the OP claims that he is anti racism yet makes very racist comments himself. I know several black men who do not like the BBC label and why is it just white women that love the BBC's and who must make a stand?

The unlawful killing of anyone, regardless of race is a terrible thing. I have questions that I need to research regarding the killings such as the demographics of the areas the shootings have happened in, the breakdown of all shootings in America etc to fully understand the picture these recent events paints of the US law enforcement.

Can I just point out that racism isn't just one-way, white against black. There are all sorts of racism black on black, black against white. The asians have a whole cast system in which to exercise their own brand of racism. I abhor what happened, especially as no one has been nor likely to be charged. But I agree that to use the phrase BBC to get the sympathy vote is wrong.

I have yet to see the video as I have been at work where the Internet blocks video playback. The video won't answer the questions I have it will simply show me the actions taken at that time. I don't need to see someone bring shot to understand that someone was shot. I am more intelligent than that.

From my perspective a man got shot by rhe police, I don't know why, I don't know the victim. I do know that American police seem a bit trigger happy, have witnessed one reach for his gun when a tourist walked towards him to ask a question.

I am also aware of an apparent recial bias in the numbers getting shot, again I don't know if this is fact or media presentation. because I have not researched it.

But I am fully aware that tribal declarations of us and them, be it football kit or skin colour usually leads to violence and escalation of hatred not solutions, as witnessed by the burning of the obviously pro police racially biased furniture store in London.

If you look at deaths of black people in America, (disregarding the obviously racist reports from both sides) for for every 1 death by police there are 40 deaths at the hands of black people.

52% of police officers are killed by black people, yet black people only make up less then 2% of the population.

It appears to me that when police officers and black people interact in the USA both parties go in with preconceived ideas and that raises the tension which then often esculates into violence...

Stopping this problem will take major changes on both sides but unfortunately both sides blame the other...

Police in the USA kill more white people than black people.

None of it makes easy reading but you have to report the whole story not just cherry pick bits to make a headline...

lets not forget it was peaceful... both sides were tweeting out pictures of the police and protesters mingling peacefully... the police didn't think there was as issue as police were not armed to the point where they thought there was a danger....

this was planned a bit too well.... which is why i was say hold off pointing fingers at this point in time...

the fear for me is that something like this was and is still going to be cleveland when the RNC hold their convention...

there are things that need to be recognised....

the annoying and frustrating thing about this happening in dallas...... it is one of the fewer places in america where they get the community policing thing right.... they take pride in progressive policing

which is why the police were not in military gear... and both sides of the protests were mingling....

when ferguson took place, the plan they put in place to restore community feeling is the one they use in dallas

Can I add though, 52% of all murders in the US are committed by people of colour. There is always a context. Only yesterday 5 old bill were shot!

Whilst I find what happened disgusting, shootings the other way round barely make the news. Why?

52% of police killed in the line of duty are killed by black people but over all more murders are committed by white people.

There is obviously deeper problems as the average wage for a family in the USA is about $58,000 but the average wage for a black family is $35,000...

I think on USA this might actually be the tipping point for proper change. I just watched something on FB where lecturer asks a white audience to stand up if they would be happy to be treated as a black person is in USA and no one did so the lecturer said that tells me you know it's wrong and asks what are you going to do about it. This now is the time collectively the USA population is saying what are we going to do about it.
