I've been humiliated for my lifestyle by vanilla people who continually misunderstand due to media portrayals of us. It makes me feel full of fear and self-loathing, I'm struggling.

But the pen is mightier than the sword. I follow the way of the warrior, though non-violently.

Oh just someone I had a brief relationship a few years ago spreading rumours about what a bad person I am, interfering in my activities, two people told me over the weekend, it ends up as Chinese whispers

Ignore it.

They can only humiliate you and make you feel guilty if you let them.

You know you're doing nothing wrong.

Don't let people who don't understand spoil your enjoyment just because it's not something they want to do, (or because they are jealous).

I saw an institutional example of this at an exhibition of Jamaican art last week. The artist was trying not to be homophobhic but still managed to criticise the LGBT community (and swimgers by extension) for promiscuity. Who are you to tell me when I am being promiscuous? You.are judging me by your own standards. I'll tell you when I am being promiscuous thank you.

Why are swingers an automatic extension of LBGT?

What's wrong with being promiscuous? Swinging kind of is a promiscuous lifestyle. It's about multiple partners and group sex.

It sounds like you have guilt issues you need to get past.

Embrace being promiscuous if you choose. Freedom to be promicuous is part of the point of this.

Thank you. As a warrior I get a jolt of adrenaline when I wake up (it was a survival mechanism to help deal with a surprise attack at dawn), it can sometimes make me experience a kind of mini panic attack.

Why worry about what other people think, just get on with it, it's your life, just ignore them. I don't worry what people think of me. XXX

The trouble is most people only see things from their own prospective, you don't have to justify yourself and even if you tried the chances of them understanding are slim, this lifestyle can be fun and exciting dont let someone else's ignorance spoil it for you x
