Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

OK just got a message from a single guy in my area. Nice profile, amusing message. He ended with saying that he'd bet his house and car that I wouldn't respond but, as I liked the look of him, I did! (He owes me a house and car!!).

Anyway he asks if I have MSN. I don't and told him so, and he hasn't replied! Apart from the fact I am now down a house and car I am not that bothered, but is it really that important to have a chat programme? Or am I missing something by not having it?

Some people like to chat before hand (but can do so on here) hence why he probably asked.

Given the rato of guys to girls I think a guy has to be more flexible than that

haven't missed a think in my experience, have found that almost without exception MSN peple want to talk dity and get off there and then and they never intend to meet

No, I dont use MSN anymore either its too demanding to sit and chat to people on it...i like to log on here and be able to wander about at my leisure should i wish and do other stuff and then come back to read messages, you cant do that on msn..

We used to use msn but got fed up with pic collectors and idiots saying they will meet then not hearing anyting again,plus we found it really time consuming.

Ever since we stopped using it a couple of years ago we have had more meets,so now we show upto date face pics and chat on the phone to prove we are who we say we are.

OP im thinking the guy was after either cam fun or is a pic collector and if he's not happy with the way you arrange meets then sod him,plenty of yummy guys on here

i had an msn account from the day i got on line 12 years ago

an i took it due to the amount of fake spam; virus going threw it an hackers trying 2 get in,

all but failed an decided to ditch it

very rare i use msn now only for mail that stays private

i dont think you were wrong for not having an account

why could he not chat with you on hear instead

We use MSN as we like to chat (normal chat and not dirty) we turn on cam to prove we are real and then the girls chat on the phone.

We have had a couple of experiances where at best the pics we were sent were 10 years old, and in another case, they must have been taken by a magic camera.....

But we can also understand why otheres dont like it...

I have MSN, I have people from here on my contact list on MSN, I chat to them on there like I talk to them when I meet them face to face and not just "talk dirty" and I have every intention of meeting them again or for the first time in some cases.

MSN is what you want it to be and if you don't want to give it out to people on here, then don't.

That saved me some typing.

The one thing for the moment I would like to add is.... I have binned plenty of people off for not having msn, if chatting on msn is what I feel is required before meeting them.

but as I have my recent face pics on here I have no need for msn,another of my reasons for avoiding msn is I dislike Microsoft and try to avoid using any of their products

I have msn.. but its not for talking to people off here... well unless they have become good friends.. I do not do dirty chat..

If I fancy some naughty chat then I if allowed, go on chat..

I get people moaning because i wont go on msn but its tough.

i use MSN all the time and i meet people!!!

i did, in the past, cam on it a lot but nowadays i dont and i make it clear when giving my addy out. there are some who dont get the message but i just delete and block them lol

If having a chat over MSN/Yahoo Messenger is part of one's vetting process, then yes.

How one goes about selecting one's potential playmates is each to their own.

I would not meet someone without having a good chat with them first, and that means Instant Messenging, as I do not like giving out my mobile phone number unless I am likely to meet that person.

I can form a very good impression about whether I would click with someone over IM - if chatting via IM is like drawing blood out of a stone, then it is likely to be the same in real life.

This could mean I could be missing out on very nice gents who are not very good at typing very fast. However, if they can't type very fast, it means they may not be very computer savvy etc., so no huge loss to me.

I only use Skype and MSN because being in a "sensitive" job I cannot broadcast publicly. I also trust those 2 sites a bit more. Some sites such as person.com store and show pictures of you without your consent. My addy is pechelbron in skype and the same at hotmail.com. You must think I'm sad but THE most exciting thing for me is having the undivided attention of a lady of similar age or older.

Sorry, however, I disagree.

PM'ing to exchange messages and pics are a lot slower than MSN.

I don't chat to just anyone, only those I intend to meet as part of my vetting process.

And yes, I love to watch a gent performing for me on cam, so I see nothing wrong when they do.
