Done this one a while back but, yet again, it rears its head.

We want to know WHY does the pain and watersports thing appear on so many profiles?

Do the people who put this on their profiles even have the slightest idea what they involve, or have they just seen it on someone elses profile and decided that they'll put it on theirs?

We'll bet 50p that 90% of the people who list it as a no no on the profile haven't done one little bit of research into the subject.

I do not have it on my profile but if asked about No's I list them as

A, I do not like being hurt I have a very low pain threshold and

B, I do not wish to be pissed on or wish to piss on anyone

Our case in point!!!!

Watersports can be as mild as listening to someone having a pee from the other side of a locked door.

It's like saying "we don't do breathplay".

It can be anything from a thumb lightly on the throat to a full on poly bag taped over the head with a belt round the neck hanging from a joist.

People just don't do their homework before they jump on a bandwagon.

I liKe watersports, I seldom piss on any one, I prefer them to drink it straight from the source. As for pain: well there's pain and there's pain. Yes...perhaps some peeps do see this on other peeps profiles and think its maybe a "norm" to write a list of "no no's".....and yes maybe they haven't fully researched...the historical background..or explored the whole spectrum of a particular fetish before they firmly regect their participation in it on their profile......up to them I guess...its their profile....

No pain or watersports can mean different things to different people for sure but for me it is simple a light spanking is pleasurable being flayed with a whip is not it HURTS. Therefore I don't do PAIN.

As to watersports, how can listening to someone having a piss be considered kinky or a fetish - I have heard loads of people having a piss it isn't a fetish in my opinion. So no watersports to me means no I will not piss on you and no I do not want you to piss on me.

I'm with Simon on this one. The majority of people who talk to about ws are on about missing on them or on me. Very few just want to listen to me piss. If they got off on that surely a trip down the public loos would be a good choice.

actually... it is patronising a touch....

just because they a person may put they don't want anything to do with "pain,poo or pee" does it mean they have to try everything before they comment...

for example... if the same were to go for food... how would you feel about eating dog.. or cat.. or horse? or do you have to try something before commenting???

some things are not for everyone.. and we had a classic example of that on the forums last night when someone was talking about mother and daughter playing in the same room....almost everyone in the thread felt really uncomfortable and uneasy about it.. but again does someone have to try it before they comment.... no!!!

the great thing about swinging and this site is that it is diverse...

if you don't like someones opinion on something... move on....

if you find something you don't like... move on....

I find the original post to be patronising in the extreme. My profile is just that - MINE, and I will put whatever I want on it.

I find this question really easy to answer without trawling fetish sites/doing homework etc....

1) Neither of us like pain, nor the sight of hearing/someone in pain.

2) Neither of us like the smell or look of piss, nor the sound of someone having one.

3) Neither of us like the smell or look of poo, nor the sound of someone having one.

.....we are not going to get sexually turned on by something we don't like..... it really is that simple.

As someone who is very open to any kind of kink, I have to agree with the Op that water-sports isn't all just about peeing on or being pee's on.

I can't see anything wrong in questioning in general why people put the things on their profiles but I'll make a guess at the answer to the question...

Some people follow like sheep and will put things on their profile because others do and some people will say what they mean and mean what they say.

We have met people with shall I say 'standard' profiles such as "the usual no no's" (whatever they are!), safe-sex ONLY, no pain, no water-sports, don't smoke etc. etc. only to find in practice its a load of tosh!!!

And 'yes' we have asked people...

"Oh you smoke, says on your profile you don't smoke"

"Yeah well we say that cos it puts people off otherwise"

"Oh, so you are into water-sports? Says on your profile you are not!"

"Yeah well we say that cos it puts people off otherwise"

... and so on... Another thing we've noticed is the classic 'straight male / bi-fem', in practice it would seem that most fems are not as bi as they might lead us to believe OR maybe they just don't want to be 'bi' with me misses?

What is seems to come down to is that we can agree with those who say 'what does it matter what others put on their profile' but for different reasons, which is this... proof of the pudding is in the eating

People are fully entitled to express what they like/dislike but on the day that can change in any direction... whatever the truth of it we won't be loosing any sleep over it

as swingers most of us have open minds but like most things there are those that are unwilling to try anything outside their comfort zone.

In answer to the OP's opening thread.

We are one of those people who list no watersports or pain on our profile.

I will explain.......

We dont want to try watersports or pain.

I havent based this on any experience. Maybe people do just want to listen to someone have a pee, I do not want to allow anyone to listen to me on the toilet.
