Pester power

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

My mamma raised me to be polite and I do try to respond to people local to me to explain if I cannot meet them (too busy, they can't accommodate etc etc) but I have noticed lately that even a polite 'no thanks' is ignored.

Now, I hate to block people (I have done but only because of abusive messages) but I will block if someone isn't taking no as no! Do you block? Or do you think it is rude to do so and just delete when someone doesn't take no for an answer?

When asked to give a reason why I say no to a gent, I normally reply I do not need to give one other than I am not interested.

And if they pester me, I would tell them I would provide a honest feedback, however, it is unlikely it is something they would like to hear.

Normally they leave me alone after that.

And yes, I delete and block if required.

Best feature you get for your subscription on this site is the ability to see contact history between members. If they have already written and I recall vaguely, I check the status then just block if its another contact attempt.

Well when Ive said no, if they come back with a begging message say, please give me a go, or something like that, I ignore it. If they message again I would block. I dont block regularly but if its someone I really dont want any contact with then I dont want them looking at pictures etc, so I block.

I think some people:

(a) like the drama; and

(b) have way too much time on their hands!

If someone contacts you who obviously hasn't read your profile and not what you're looking for, why start up a conversation in the first place?

If you think it "rude" to ignore people who have not taken your preferences into account add a sentence on your profile along the lines, "if you don't meet what I'm looking for I won't reply" or "if I don't reply and delete, take that as a 'not interested!'"

You can then delete with a "clear" conscience and concentrate on those you're interested in meeting!

I get a shedload of messages and my profile states quite clearly that if I am not interested and/or you are not within my criteria I will just delete your message as I do not have the time to reply to everyone who sends me a message.

Hey it works both ways occasionally I have messaged and it has been read and deleted. I don't take offence in the slightest

if they continue to message after a brief "no thanks" from me i do tend to block - especially if they obviously haven't read my profile. hence the reason my block list is now in triple figures !!!

If I have got this correct...

someone you don't know, you have never met them in your life, you have no emotional bond with them apart from them being human, on the same web site and they messaged you asking for sex.

You have said No.. and they don't like that answer.. and are becoming a PEST.

and you are considering NOT BLOCKING THEM

why exactly?

If anyone gets a polite 'thanks but no thanks' and then asks 'why not?'..... they're just opening up a whole world of pain for themselves.

Do they really want to be told 'I don't think you're attractive'???

Ignore/delete/block is the kindest thing to do.

Happy swinging! xx

I block abusive people and have blocked the occasional pest - how many times can you say 'no' politely before they get the message otherwise..

I got pester power in a different way. met someone from here. had a good time. then it was daily texts calls etc. kept saying please do not text or call me if i want you i will be back in touch. i wanted nsa sex not a daily text alert of how horny he was. the request of no contact fell on deaf ears. until in the end i have had to resort to blocking.
