Well ... I arrived there to be confronted with a pencil ... on a string ....do they think im going to steal the pencil .... errr I dont think I will .... even argos has a pen ....

Luckily I had my parker pen with me .... how very rude ...

It's probably a trick by the Remain side...they'll have used government funds to write to all the people likely to vote Remain to tell them to take their own pencil, and left the likely Leave voters out from the mailshot...lol.

Why pencil anyway...? Is it so that if the result doesn't go the way the government want, they can instruct the counters to rub a few votes out and put the cross in the other box...? Lol...why wouldn't I be suprised...
