We appreciate that this is a subject that has been aired before but we would still like a little feedback from other couples.

We have encountered a large number of members who will not accept a message or even a wink unless the sender has public photos.

Our own situation is that we have jobs in the public sector and meet the public everyday. We don't want our private lives becoming public. Non facial photos are entertaining but prove nothing. They are no safeguard against predatory single males.

That is the second reason for us not posting facial photos as we have been the subject of stalking and vile hurtful comments in the past from someone who recognised us. We added our new profile and that did the trick but the episode still haunts us.

Your thoughts please.

I stick to non facial photos as i have a similar problem to you. I attatch a face pic with any message or i have face pics in my friends album.

We totally get that OP. Why don't you post pics that don't show your faces. Omit anything that immediately identifies you, ie, your home which maybe recognisable, there's a whole range of scenarios you could conjure up and present publicly. We feel pics are important on profiles and if your discrete pics encourage messages it's then you decide to send face pics. Just our pennies worth.

I'd say do this, but only if you feel that your profile isn't working to meet your needs. Otherwise, just do what you wanna do? My profile has no public pics and I still get what I want from the site, though our aims may be slightly different.

Showing no photos at all though makes you look like either you are fake, or have something to hide.

OK, so you have verifications, so you're not fake, but you are on a site where (whether people like to admit this is the main reason or not) people are looking for sex. The main thing (again, whether people like to admit this or not...) that attracts people is the first impression = What we look like.

If we can't see what people look like, even if there is no face photo it's fine on a profile, but if there are no photos at all then why potentially waste time on people who may not be attractive to the person doing the looking?

Why go through all the trouble of chatting, arranging a social, taking time to travel to this social only to find out that you really aren't their taste at all.

People are less likely to do that especially when they can just click on your competition, check out their photos and know from the start whether there is an attraction there or not.

Why not try at least some body shots? Something that doesn't make you recognisable but still shows what you have to offer?

With people having so many turn ons and turn offs body shape and size is a main one. So actually body shots are very useful.

Not many people meet blind and to be honest I would worry if they did, kind of a "I'm so desperate I'll fuck anyone who offers", plus it's not particularly good for safety not knowing at least what your meet looks like.

We work in very public jobs , but we are happily married and don't give a flying fuck if anyone on here recognises us .

They are here for the same reason as us , and no more want to be publicly outed than we do .

So in five years on and off fab , we have shown ourselves on our profile , and apart from a couple of instances where our pics have ended up on xhamster and other porn sites , we've had no problems .

Totally understand the point about no faces but Transguy makes an excellant point.

Even without seeing faces it makes it easier to see if someone is your type, body shots or even just arty close ups makes people feel at ease.

Perhaps subconsciously it helps them pass the first fear of someone being hideous (to them) when they see the bits of yourselves you do show look clean and interesting , It helps alleviate a fear.

If you don't want public pics then don't display them. It's your profile to run as you see fit. But you must also appreciate that you will be overlooked by some who prefer people who have pics on their profile. That's how they choose to run their profile.

Whilst we understand your fears we personally would not consider meeting someone without knowing what they look like.

I think most members share our lack of interest in blind dates.

Additionally if they have no posted photos we would not even bother entering into communication with them. Since we wouldn't be meeting them then any communication is pointless.

So what , know body as ever come up to either of us and asked if we're on fab and if they did we'd say "yes so what of it ?" Your indulging in a healthy sex life not committing some horrendous crime

Everyone uses the site exactly how they want, it's the best way to do it. If the way other people use it is t for you it only means you aren't compatible, nothing to worry about

Most ppl on here are in a similar situation as you but as said by others that does not stop you posting strategically taken pics without showing your face. We do that and only share face pics with ppl we are interested in mtg.

Although your profile sounds good I probably wouldn't pursue it further as there are absolutely no public pics at all

We simply don't show face pics because we're both f**king ugly so hide this fact with some photoshopped photos of Mrs Lust in sexy outfits in an attempt to trick people into meeting us as we anticipate the chance of a "sympathy f**k!"
