I keep seeing this phrase, I believe I have used it myself on a few occasions too. But what does it really mean to people?

What is your definition of a hardened swinger?

People who have been doing this for a while an often go to clubs etc. Have a lot of experience kind of seen it all, a good verification off a so called 'hardened swinger' can look good I think.

I do wonder about all this opinion and experiences meaning something.

Ultimately, this swinging lark is all about people meeting other people and having a sexual experience. Everyone consents and no harm done.

Why make it all so complicated?

I'm sure there are more flattering ways of describing such people than 'hardened' though...

If I see in a profile that someone is protesting they are not hardened, then you see they have numerous verifications that's an instant turn off for me

I guess we are hardened swingers as we meet more than once a week , have loads of veris , are unshockable and are willing to try anything twice .

Hey ho , as others have said that its a derogatory turn of phrase , we will take it in the chin , and keep having fun .

At the end of the day , we have no problem finding people who want to meet us , and we would far rather meet open minded and fun people than judgemental , narrow minded people any day of the week

Probably means someone or a couple who are far out beyond the initial emotional adjustments which many of us have to make on entering the swinging world. With many of us at the moment coming from a "faithful and true together for ever" (!!!) background and absorbed received opinion.

If you have these initial "wobblies" as you strip out occasional eruptions of emotions like "jealousy" or comparison of who, over a short term, gets what (many of us did in the beginning?), they get less in time.

Then you get so you can arrive and simply get on playing. You know what you look forward to, you know the beneficial effect it will have on you, and you get on getting it...

That to us is what we'd visualise as being meant by "a hardened swinger".

Probably no one is this - I find it a judgemental term and have limited understanding of what the user would mean by it. Perhaps they shag everything in sight, never forming any mental connections or with affection?
